Please prepare the following:

⏩Find extracts (at least two verses and one chorus) from songs that discuss the following themes:
* Love
* Money
* Mountains
* Snow
* Rain

🟢For each extract, please remember to note the song title, the author, and the performer.
🟢Practice reading each extract aloud at home.

Please come well-prepared, as these extracts will be used for our fun little game!

A massive thank you to everyone who came out for the English Club speaking session last night!
It was fantastic to see such energy and enthusiasm as we dove into practicing with the PPF method. You all tackled the exercises brilliantly, and the improvement in fluency and confidence throughout the evening was incredible.

Keep practicing those new phrases and techniques! Your commitment is what makes our club so great.

We'll discuss why you chose it, any new words or phrases you learned, and we might even sing it together!

A big thank you to everyone who came out for our English classes this week! 🙌

On Wednesday, we had a great time with Chantal. Our teens class was fantastic, and the adults class was a solid review of the preterite tense. 🤓

Thursday's speaking session with Rosy was a wonderful way to ease back into things after a two-week break. 🎤

We had some amazing presentations:
- Stéphane gave us a detailed look into the history of the song "Matilda," and we even got to sing it together with him on the ukulele! 🎶
- Luce shared her travel stories from Mongolia. 🗺️
- Jade presented her speech based on her poster about emotions. 😊 and new expression like "To go bananas" that means a massive loss of self-control!

We learned so much, including some great vocabulary: inside out, jolly, swagman, the squatter, to camp by, billabong, jumbuck, tucker bag, thoroughbred, troopers, to pass by, orphanage, bedside desk, to overtake a car.

We also picked up on the free-writing style of songwriting: "Up jumped the swagman" instead of "The swagman jumped up", "Up rode the squatter" instead of "The squatter rode up"!

Next speaking session, get ready for some fun! We're bringing back our famous karaoke night! 🥳 It's the perfect opportunity to work on our singing voices and, more importantly, explore how songs can be a fun and engaging way to practice our English.
