A Historic Day of Excellence: IUM Winter Convocation 2026! ✨ 🎓🎓🎓
History was made on May 22, 2026, as the International University of Management celebrated its Winter Convocation at the Mercure Hotel in Windhoek! It was an unforgettable day of pride and monumental academic achievement.
We were deeply honored to welcome Prime Minister Dr. Tjitunga Elijah Ngurare as our Guest of Honor. In his powerful keynote address, he commended IUM for driving Namibia’s socio-economic transformation and highlighted the government’s National Youth Development Fund (NYDF), a crucial initiative designed to fund and mentor young entrepreneurs to tackle youth unemployment.
This ceremony marked a historic milestone for IUM as we proudly produced our first-ever cohort of 10 PhD graduates alongside over 100 Master’s graduates. It was also a special full-circle moment for the Prime Minister, who previously lectured at IUM; one of his very own PhD students officially walked across the stage to receive their doctorate!
To the incredible Class of 2026: Your hard work has paid off. With your dedication and initiatives like the NYDF to back you, the future is yours to shape!
