After the curtains closed, the conversations began. Teachers reflected on Bang Bang, the Grade 8 English Second Language prescribed text, and the realities learners carry beyond the classroom.

The play opened up discussions about youth experiences, violence, and the environments shaping young people today.

Bang Bang is part of NTN’s Prescribed Text Project under its Main Programme, which brings classroom literature to life on stage.

The aim is to support learning through experience, while encouraging critical thinking, empathy, and engagement.
