Were making around Namibia. Here is a recap of where our researchers have been this past month:
MRS team travelled to Neudam, Ogongo, Hage Geingob, Main and Ongwediva Campuses as part of an initiative to establish world class lab facilities. This will be done by strengthening lab technical and human capacity to improve quality of results through ISO certification.

Were making around Namibia! Here is a recap of where our researchers have been this past month:
In partnership with the Academic Alliance on Anticipatory Action (AAAA), our own are making sure that Social Protection (SP) safety nets are in place in the drought and flood prone-communities in the Kunene Region. The trip observed active local initiatives from conservancies and other partners in addition to Government SP safety nets.

And that's a wrap! The first inter-campus writing for publication retreat was closed off with remarks from PVC RID Prof. Anicia Peters last week. The retreat in which researchers from Multidisciplinary Research Services, HP, Ogongo and Oshakati campuses yielded manuscripts ready to be published.

The Access to Biological and Genetic Resources and Association Traditional Knowledge (ABS) office for Namibia is officially open. University of Namibia was represented by Dr. Lydia Horn and Dr. Iwanette Dupreez who serve as expert resource persons on ABS.
