As we celebrate 50 years of Nautilus Primary School, we pause to honour and give thanks to the remarkable leaders who helped shape our journey.
For five decades, three dedicated principals stood at the helm of this institution, each leaving behind a lasting legacy of service, commitment, and care.
To Mr. Patience, who served as the founding principal for 17 years — from 1 January 1975 to 1 December 1992 — we thank you for laying the foundation. Your pioneering leadership built more than a school; it created a home for learning and a legacy of excellence that still lives on today.
To Mr. Meyer, who led the school for 10 years — from 1 January 1993 to 1 December 2003 — we thank you for your steady guidance and vision during a period of growth and transformation. Your leadership ensured that the values of Nautilus were not only preserved but strengthened.
And to Mr. Van Rooy, who served faithfully for 20 years — from 1 January 2004 to 30 June 2024 — we express our deepest gratitude for your dedication, resilience, and unwavering belief in the potential of every learner. Under your leadership, Nautilus Primary flourished in both spirit and stature.
Each of you led with integrity, heart, and purpose. Your years of service have touched countless lives and helped build the proud, thriving school we celebrate today.
Thank you for your leadership. Thank you for your service. Thank you for being part of the Nautilus story.
