Robert Kiyosaki from Rich Dad Poor Dad says:
I've been reflecting on what truly drives success, and I've realized it's not about money, talent, or charisma – all of which I've tried relying on in the past. Instead, it lies within our minds, specifically in our "why."
Often, before we can alter our habits or bolster our discipline, we need to reexamine our "why." This can be challenging because our "why" is deeply rooted in our core beliefs and values. For instance, if you believe, "I'll never be rich" or "Investing is risky," these convictions can be significant barriers to success. They prevent you from even trying, keeping you from realizing your potential.
Rich Dad once told me something insightful. He said that people often asked him how he achieved something. Initially, he would explain the process, but he noticed that even with this knowledge, they rarely took action. He realized that understanding the 'how' wasn't as crucial as grasping the 'why.' It’s your 'why' that fuels your ability to handle the 'how.'
Think of the 'Why' as a mental environment. As Rich Dad put it, "Change your environment… change your life." Adapting or broadening your 'Why' can transform your life in significant ways.
Your 'why' is personal and unique to you. It could be the pursuit of freedom, the wellbeing of your family, or overcoming fear. There’s no right or wrong here – it’s entirely yours.
I'm here to offer various 'how’s’. Once you've uncovered your 'why,' these methods – whether it’s real estate, stocks, crypto, or entrepreneurship – can guide you to your next step. Just like your 'why,' your approach to achieving your goals is entirely yours to explore and refine.
Remember, it's 'why' first, then 'how',
Robert
