🚨 Leaders: How do you handle conflict in your team? 🚨
Conflict is inevitable, but how you navigate it can either make or break your team’s success. Rather than viewing conflict as a hurdle, what if you approached it as an opportunity for growth and connection?
Here’s how I’ve learned to transform conflict with compassion using the principles of Nonviolent Communication (NVC):
1️⃣ Focus on understanding, not blame. Most conflicts arise from unmet needs. By identifying those needs (for yourself and others), you create space for real solutions.
2️⃣ Listen with empathy. Instead of reacting defensively, try asking: "What is this person feeling and needing?" When people feel heard, tension decreases.
3️⃣ Respond, don’t react. Use the NVC framework:
- Observation: Describe the facts without judgment.
- Feelings: Express how you feel.
- Needs: Identify your unmet needs.
- Requests: Ask for what you need moving forward.
💡 Example: “I noticed the project deadlines were missed. I feel stressed because I need reliability to meet our goals. Can we discuss ways to stay on track?”
This simple shift in communication fosters understanding, builds trust, and leads to more effective collaboration. 💪

面對新興社交平台的競爭,臉書轉型進軍元宇宙 Metaverse,甚至名字也換成 Meta 了。
雖然坊間對元宇宙趨之若鶩,但一些經濟人和科技人並不看好元宇宙。
科技人提出的質疑是科技本來是要帶給人便利,但目前使用元宇宙卻仍有不便之處(比如戴有一定重量的 VR 頭盔和手套),並且這些設備也價格不菲,所以普及化有一定的困難。(當然如果有一天發展成晶片,只要註入皮下組織就可以產生元宇宙的效果,再加上量產的話,就有可能普及化了。只不過那時又會產生另一個爭論性的課題了。)
經濟人提出的質疑是臉書把資源都轉去發展元宇宙是否是明智的決定。其實元宇宙並不是新的科技——比如你家裏可能有小孩在玩,已有十多年歷史的遊戲 Roblox,就是元宇宙了。所以無怪乎經濟人對面子書的這項決定有所保留甚至是質疑。
當然,元宇宙將來到底會不會成功,還是言之過早。但在臉書決定轉型 Meta 後,它的股價就一直在跌了,再加上現在的經濟大環境,就跌得更多了。
