❤️ For Croton lovers ❤️

A simple experiment to compare the difference & efficiency between grafting & water propagation after 2 weeks+

✅ Both grafted stems showed major progress in terms of rooting and also leaves retention. 90% of original leaves are still healthy. Minimal loss.
- Medium used : Full Sphagnum Moss

❌ All water propagated ones showed little to no progress at all. Not even 1 visible white root came up. 70-80% of leaves wilted & dropped after a few days.
Medium used : Water + B1 + Root catalyst

Summary
: Grafting is better than water for Crotons.
: Maybe I’m just bad at water propagation 🤷🏻‍♂️

Aroids Day

Who knew tagging and labelling could be so satisfying... Plenty more to come in this ever growing & constantly evolving garden.

Hopefully I have the strength and patience to let them grow without propagating for the next few months. Grow well my boys….

Crawling philodendrons are space eaters. Gloriosum, Mamei, Pastazanum, McDowell etc are notorious for wasting precious real estate.
Rather than wasting the space on your ceiling, beams etc, might as well hang your crawlies to utilise the unused space.

This is just a start of our little experiment with DIY half cut pipes. The only regret I have so far is using 4inch pipes instead of 6inch. Works well though.

Started to question my life’s decision halfway through repotting this big boy. Super root bound. Almost impossible to handle without damaging the roots & leaves.

Amateur tip : Use long pole & big pot from the initial potting. Otherwise you’ll end up wrestling with a monster in the future.

Such a humbling experience. Sometimes, not everything is about money. Extremely grateful to have contributed a very small amount towards her livelihood. May we all be blessed in our day to day lives.
