Not owning a car shouldn’t be a privilege. The real flex is living in a society where you don’t need one to access work, education, and everyday necessities.

Happy retirement, Prof. Rafiq Adikan.

I still remember emailing him about road safety and active mobility on campus. His response was immediate: “We’ll find a budget to put in the blue lines, sharrows, and bike signs. When we have more funding, we’ll continue to improve them.”

That willingness to listen and take action meant a lot. Probably one of the most sempoi administrators I’ve came across (always approachable, practical, and genuinely open to ideas)

Thank you, Prof. I’ll always remember your kindnesses and supports.
