It builds language, imagination and emotional understanding — but most importantly, it strengthens the bond between parent and child.

You don't need to be a professional storyteller.

Your child simply needs your voice, your presence and your time.

Because one day, they may forget the story…

今天一早，6岁班的凯乐一到学校，便从书包里小心翼翼地拿出一样东西——家里的电视机遥控器，递给老师。

“哦，你决定星期一到星期五不看电视，对吗？”老师问道。

小小的凯乐，睁着那双圆滚滚的眼睛，坚定地点了点头。

那一刻，老师的心里充满了欣慰。

这个平时精力充沛、活泼好动的小男生，在课堂上的表现其实常常让老师操心。专注时间较短，功课偶尔无法完成，学习进度也比预期慢一些。

老师主动和妈妈沟通，了解孩子在家的情况。妈妈分享，凯乐一打开电视，便容易沉浸其中，很难停下来，结果影响了作业和生活规律。

了解情况后，老师没有选择责备孩子，而是和凯乐一起讨论解决的方法。

老师告诉他：

“学习很重要。为了帮助你能够安排好时间，你可以选择每天留校到6点，让老师陪伴你完成作业；或者，你可以把家里的电视机遥控器交给老师保管，星期五老师还给你，周末才可以看电视。”

凯乐想了想，选择了后者。

今天，他主动把遥控器带来学校。

因为这不是老师强迫他的决定，而是他自己做出的承诺。

孩子需要的，往往不是更多的责骂，而是清楚的界限、适当的选择，以及成人坚定而温暖的陪伴。

教育孩子，从来不是学校单方面的责任，也不是父母独自承担的任务。

当父母愿意和学校沟通，当老师愿意理解孩子背后的原因，当家长与老师站在同一阵线上，孩子会慢慢学会为自己的选择负责，也会在一次次的小决定中，成长为更有自律能力的人。

谢谢凯乐的妈妈愿意与学校配合，也谢谢凯乐愿意勇敢地为自己的成长迈出一步。

每一个孩子的改变，都始于大人们给予他的信任与支持。

"Parents are a child's first teachers."

This is more than just a saying—it is a truth that shapes a child's future.

At Clover, we are blessed to have parents who believe in partnering with the school. When home and school walk the same path, children receive the greatest gift: a consistent environment where they are loved, guided, and inspired to grow.

From our annual Parents' Morning to last year's Parent-Child Tree Planting Activity, our parents have always shown remarkable enthusiasm and commitment. One of the highlights from last year's Parents' Morning was watching parents bring stories to life through drama. Their passion and creativity left a lasting impression on me and sparked a new idea.

This year, we launched our Parent Storytelling Series, inviting parents to become storytellers for our children. More importantly, we hope that each participating parent will inspire many others to discover the joy and power of storytelling.

Every parent has the ability to become a wonderful storyteller. After all, no storyteller is more special to a child than their own mother or father.

When parents regularly tell stories, they are doing far more than entertaining their children. They are nurturing language development, enriching imagination, strengthening emotional connections, and helping children organise and express their thoughts with confidence. These communication skills will benefit them not only throughout their school years, but for the rest of their lives.

Today, we are delighted to share a beautiful story about friendship, lovingly narrated by one of our Clover fathers.

‘’父母是孩子的第一位老师‘’

这句话有过之而无不及。把孩子送来Clover 的家长,如果和学校配合的话，都能把这个角色发挥得很好。

从每年的Parents' Morning,到去年的亲子种树活动，家长的参与度甚高。去年家长在Parents' Morning 呈现的戏剧故事，启发了我。

今年，我发动了家长说故事系列，让家长表现他们说故事的本领。也同时借着这个机会启发其他家长。

每一个家长都应该拥有说故事的能力，因为每一个孩子都喜欢听自己的父母说故事。这对孩子的成长，有极大的影响。一个时常听父母说故事的孩子，不止语言发展能力极佳，也在和同龄的朋友相比之下。有较高的语言组织能力来表达自己的思想和情感。这对一个人的沟通能力是很重要的。这也会影响一个孩子的一生。

It’s been a while since I last wrote.

It’s not because I have nothing to say, but because I’ve been busy with life offline.

So many moments have reminded me how grateful I am for this life—cherishing every joyful moment spent with the children.

Some of these children are my own. Four are my biological children, and many others are entrusted to me by their parents. Together with the Clover team, I’m blessed with the opportunity to nurture, guide, and care for these little lives as they grow.

I am truly grateful for this privilege. It makes this life deeply meaningful.

好久没有发表文章了。
不是没东西写，是太忙于线下活动了。
好多生命中的发生，让我感恩我的存在，享受着和孩子们在一起的欢乐时光。

我的孩子们，有四个是我亲生的，有好多是别人生的，交到我的手上，让我和 Clover的团队有机会把小小生命呵护成长。

感恩有这机会，不枉此生。

在飞往北京的航班上，和同事聊起“阅读”这件事。
我们谈到：阅读能够滋养一个人的气质。

“腹有诗书气自华。”

这句话，很真实，也很奇妙。

如今的社会节奏太快了。
越来越多人不再静下心翻开一本书。
于是，市场开始流行一种方式——“听书”。

有人把一本书的“重点”和“精髓”浓缩整理，再用音频讲给你听。

宣传方式也很吸引人：
你不用真正阅读，
也能一天“看完”几本书；
驾车时、做家务时、通勤时，
都可以一边忙，一边“吸收知识”。
高效率、零负担。

但对我而言，
阅读，从来不只是获取资讯。
而是——
因阅读而理解，
因理解而感受，
因感受而成长。
这是非常个人的过程。

同一本书，
因为每个人的人生经历不同、眼界不同、情感不同，最后读出来的领悟，也会完全不同。

我阅读的速度其实很慢。
有时候，一页会反复读上几遍；
一句话，会停下来想很久。

我喜欢细细品味字与字之间的温度，句与句背后隐藏的人生智慧。

而那些真正触动人的，往往不是别人替你整理好的“重点”，而是你在阅读过程中，
突然对自己产生的觉察与反思。

如果只是“听”别人帮你总结好的内容，
或许很有效率，却也可能错过了
独立思考的能力，
与自己对话的机会，
还有文字真正滋养内心的力量。

阅读，
从来不是为了“快速看完一本书”。
而是为了，
让一本书慢慢走进你心里。

在Clover的蒙式教学里，“具体化学习（Concrete Learning）” 是我们的教学理念，因为它是幼儿学习发展中非常重要的一环。幼儿正处于“符号表征阶段”（Symbolic Representation Stage），因此他们需要先透过具体、可操作的材料进行学习，再逐步过渡到抽象理解。
Concrete learning is Clover's teaching philosophy, as it is an important part of young children's learning development, which they are at the symbolic representation stage.
