for her visionary leadership and strong commitment to advancing academic excellence at the university.

The Academic Excellence Division (AED), established in 2022, was later upgraded to the Academic Excellence Sector (AES) in 2023 following the transition of KUPTM to Universiti Poly-Tech Malaysia (UPTM). This initiative was inspired by Prof. Zahrahโ€™s strategic vision to strengthen academic quality in line with national higher education aspirations, including the Hala Tuju Pendidikan Tinggi Negara.

Under her guidance and continuous support, seven key units; APEL, ODL, Community Relations (SULAM), OBE, ABL, E-Learning, and Micro-Credential were established and remain active in driving the universityโ€™s academic excellence initiatives.

We extend our heartfelt thanks for her dedication, service, and exemplary leadership in advancing the universityโ€™s academic excellence.

SIM Video Production Workshop for the ODL MBA Program

Date: 17 โ€“ 18 January 2026
Venue: UPTM Studio, Level 2
Participants: 14 participants (including participants and organizing committee)

The SIM Video Production Workshop for the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) MBA Program was conducted to complete the programโ€™s digital learning materials in line with ODL requirements.

The workshop involved 8 MBA courses, with a clearly defined deliverable of 32 minutes of SIM video recordings produced for each course. These videos covered core instructional content, topic explanations, learning guidance, and supplementary learning materials designed to support independent and flexible learning in an ODL environment.

As a result, 100% of the planned SIM video recordings were successfully produced during the workshop, resulting in 8 sets of SIM videos, each comprising 32 minutes of validated content per course, totaling 4 hours and 16 minutes of raw video material. Once edited, all videos will meet institutional academic and digital pedagogy quality standards and be ready for upload to the Learning Management System (LMS). This process ensures the readiness of the ODL MBA Program for academic delivery and fulfills institutional quality assurance and documentation requirements.
