⛵🌊 Sailing into Baba & Nyonya History! 🌺

How did the Baba and Nyonya ancestors travel from China to Southeast Asia? 🤔 Our little explorers set sail on their own boat-building adventure! ⛵✨

They designed and created boats to imagine the long journey across the sea, thinking about how their boats could travel and float. 🌊

Then, our little Nyonya girls stepped into history by trying on the beautiful kebaya! 👗🌸

From building boats to wearing the kebaya, we’re discovering culture through hands-on learning! 💕

峇峇娘惹的祖先是如何从中国来到东南亚的呢？🤔 我们的小小探索家展开了一场属于自己的造船冒险！ ⛵✨

孩子们设计并制作自己的小船，想象祖先们跨越大海的漫长旅程，同时思考：小船要怎样才能航行和浮在水面上呢？🌊

接着，小小娘惹们穿上了美丽的传统娘惹可峇雅！ 👗🌸 亲身感受娘惹传统服饰的魅力！

从造小船到穿上可峇雅，孩子们通过亲身体验探索和认识峇峇娘惹文化！💕

🔨🪵 Little Carpenters at Work! 🪵🔨

Our little carpenters are getting started on their very own wood plaques! 👷‍♀️👷‍♂️✨

First, we learned about wood and safety, then had fun with our Touch & Tell session—feeling and exploring different wood textures. 🪵✋

Next up: sanding practice! ✨ We learned how to smooth the wood carefully before creating our plaques.

And of course, every good carpenter knows… clean-up is part of the job! 🧹😆

我们的小小木匠开始制作属于自己的木制挂牌啦！👷‍♀️👷‍♂️✨

首先，我们学习了木工安全知识，接着进行有趣的 “Touch & Tell 触摸与分享”，用小手感受不同木头的纹理。🪵✋

接下来是打磨练习！ ✨ 我们学习如何仔细地把木头表面打磨得更加光滑，为制作木挂牌做好准备。

🎨🌺 Batik Detectives: How Do Patterns Come to Life? 🌺🎨

Our little Baba & Nyonya Batik Detectives explored colourful batik patterns and wondered: “How does the colour stay in some places but not others?” 🤔🔍

Through hands-on batik painting, they discovered how wax and colours work together to create beautiful patterns! 🖌️✨

Then, they turned our classroom wall into a mini Baba & Nyonya batik exhibition—just like a little museum! 🏛️🌺

From “I wonder…” to “I discovered!” — learning happens when we explore, question and create!

🎨🌺 蜡染小侦探：美丽的图案是怎样诞生的？ 🌺🎨

我们的小小峇峇娘惹 “蜡染小侦探” 开始探索五彩缤纷的蜡染图案，并好奇地问：“为什么有些地方会有颜色，有些地方却没有呢？” 🤔🔍

通过亲手进行蜡染创作，孩子们发现了 蜡与颜料如何一起创造出美丽的图案！ 🖌️✨

完成作品后，孩子们还把蜡染作品展示在墙上，把教室变成了一个 小小峇峇娘惹蜡染展览馆，就像真正的博物馆一样！🏛️🌺

从 “我想知道……” 到 “我发现了！” ——学习就是从探索、提问到发现的过程！

✨ Our little learners began their Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) journey by exploring a real kebaya and sarung batik. They touched the fabrics, observed the patterns, and asked questions like, "Why are there so many flowers?" and "Who wears these clothes?" 🤔

Inspired by their discoveries, the children designed and painted their own kebaya, expressing their creativity through colours and patterns. 🎨🌸

Learning starts with curiosity, grows through questions, and comes alive through creating! 👘

✨ 孩子们开启了探究式学习（IBL）之旅！他们先亲手探索真正的娘惹上衣（Kebaya）和峇迪纱笼（Sarung Batik），触摸布料、观察图案，并提出问题：「为什么有这么多花朵图案？」「是谁穿这些衣服呢？」 🤔

带着这些发现，孩子们发挥创意，用颜料和彩色设计属于自己的娘惹上衣。🎨🌸

学习始于好奇，在提问中成长，并在创作中绽放！👘

Messy play = the best kind of fun! 🤩✨

Our little explorers had a blast playing with powder & crunchy granola, scooping flower petals 🌸, balancing pom poms, and squishing soft diaper jelly! There were giggles, flying pom poms, and lots of happy little hands getting messy. 😆

There were sprinkles everywhere, petals flying, pom poms escaping, and plenty of "Oops!" moments—but that's where the best learning happens! 💛

“玩得脏兮兮”就是最棒的乐趣！🤩✨

我们的小小探险家们玩得不亦乐乎：他们玩粉末和酥脆的燕麦麦片，舀起花瓣 🌸，练习平衡毛绒球，还用力捏弄柔软的尿不湿吸水凝胶！现场充满了欢声笑语，毛绒球满天飞，还有一双双快乐的小手忙着“搞脏”自己。😆

尽管到处都是撒落的颗粒、飞舞的花瓣、四处乱跑的毛绒球，也少不了各种“哎呀！”的小插曲——但这正是学习发生的最美妙时刻！💛

孩子们穿上可爱的海洋动物服装，自信介绍自己，并透过唱歌、跳舞分享学习成果。亲子一起 DIY 鱼缸、探索小鱼、小虾和海蜗牛，最后开心地参观孩子们的作品。

What happens when Baba & Nyonya culture meets messy play? Lots of laughter and endless fun! 🤩

Our little ones scooped blue Nasi Lemak 🍚, poured Teh Tarik ☕, made colourful beaded necklaces 📿, cooked "noodle soup" 🍜, stamped beautiful Peranakan patterns 🎨, and searched for hidden jewels 💎.

Messy hands, happy smiles, and lots of learning through play—what a wonderful cultural adventure!
