From 5 to 7 June, Sustainable Future 3.0 took place at Megah Rise Mall. This student-led bazaar brought together creativity, collaboration, and a shared purpose.

Led by lecturer Ms Ally Cher, the event featured students from INTI ICAD’s Diploma in Graphic Design, Diploma in Immersive Design, and BA (Hons) Graphic Design 3+0 (in collaboration with SHU) programmes. Working across disciplines, each student group contributed in their own way, transforming ideas into meaningful outcomes.

With the support of Creative Co., led by Goh Suet Lin and Khairul Anwar, who oversaw the visual identity and merchandise, the space came together through thoughtful planning and collective effort behind the scenes.

The event was proudly officiated by our Dean, Ms Ang Tong Yin, alongside Ms Hamizah from Greenpeace and representatives from the Megah Rise Mall team. Their opening remarks served as a reminder of the importance of initiatives like these, especially when driven by students.

The bazaar successfully raised RM1,000 in support of Greenpeace.

More than the amount raised, it was the experience, the conversations sparked around sustainability, and the people involved that made the event truly memorable.

From brainstorming ideas to delivering the final pitch, our students got a taste of what it’s really like to work on creative projects in the industry, client briefs, feedback sessions, negotiations, tight deadlines, and solving problems on the spot.

A huge thank you to Mughni Che Din for sharing his experiences, insights, and valuable advice with our students. It was an eye-opening session filled with practical lessons and honest conversations about the creative world.

Proud of the ideas, effort, and teamwork shown throughout the bootcamp. Here‘s to more learning, creating, and growing together.

Until next time!

POV: My lecturer asked me to make content, so now you’re coming on a tour of Block B. 👀

From creative chaos and last-minute deadlines to studio sessions, brainstorming corners, and the occasional “I have no idea what I’m doing” moment, this is where ICAD students spend most of their time.

Welcome to Block B, where ideas are born, caffeine disappears, and creativity somehow always finds a way. 🎨✨

What happens when Fashion, Graphic Design, and Interior Architecture students are placed in a future survival scenario with limited materials, no phones, no laptops, and one fragile egg to protect?
Chaos. Creativity. Collaboration.
As part of the Level 6 co/exist series by ICAD, students from:
✨ BA (Hons) Fashion Management and Communication
✨ BA (Hons) Graphic Design
✨ BA (Hons) Interior Architecture & Design
came together in 10 multidisciplinary teams for the Egg Drop Protection Device Challenge Workshop.
Set in the year 2099, students were tasked with protecting one of the last surviving eggs on Earth using only mahjong paper, satay sticks, strings, and masking tape. Through experimentation, teamwork, storytelling, structural thinking, and problem-solving under pressure, students explored how design can become a tool for survival, sustainability, and future resilience.
More than just an egg drop challenge, the workshop became a playground for young designers to connect across disciplines, exchange perspectives, and discover possibilities beyond their own creative boundaries.
Some eggs survived. Some didn’t.
But ideas definitely hatched.
