Brainbox Chess Academy (BCA) was founded by a group of national elite chess players with an aim to provide quality and structured chess training to the chess community of diverse background. BCA offers a wide range of scholastic chess activities such as chess camps, after school programs, and private lessons. Catered for different age-groups and levels, we specialize in using chess as a tool for e

ducation and mental development through fun, interactive classes. In addition, we also provide training for competitive play for those nerve-wrecking tournaments.

We are incredibly proud to announce that our student, Eamonn Tee Yuan Khai has emerged as Under 12 National Champion at the National Youth Chess Championship (NYCC 2026)! 🇲🇾♟️

Massive congratulations to Eamonn Tee for clinching 1st place in the U-12 category, and to Belle Tan for coming in 1st place in the U-9 at the Penang MCA Age Group 2025 Chess Competition! 🏆♟️

Both of them have been working hard, staying focused, and it really showed on the board. We’ve seen how much they’ve grown over time — and seeing them take home top prizes at such a big event is just amazing.
