Co-founder and Executive Director of the Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia.

🔬 She leads a long-term, community-based terrapin conservation project in Kemaman, Terengganu, working closely with local communities to protect the endangered river terrapin.

🎉 𝗚𝗥𝗦 𝗔𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁: 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗮 𝗞𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗿 (𝗣𝗵𝗗)

Congratulations to Stany Bala Kumar, a second-year PhD candidate from the School of Science, supervised by Associate Professor Pushpamalar Janarthanan, on his outstanding achievement at the 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀 (𝟯𝗠𝗧) 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

After successfully progressing through the preliminary round at the campus level, Stany advanced to the finals, where he received the 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲’𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 for his engaging presentation, “Navigation Meets Medication”.

This achievement reflects his excellent research communication skills and ability to present complex research in a clear, engaging, and impactful way.

Congratulations, Stany, on this well-deserved recognition! We wish you continued success in your PhD journey.
