Taylor’s Law Society is proud to organize an exclusive Parliament Visit & Engagement Session with YB Wong Chen, the Member of Parliament for Subang.

This is a rare opportunity to explore the Malaysian House of Parliament, gain firsthand insights into legislative proceedings, and engage in a direct dialogue with a serving lawmaker.

Taylor’s School of Law and Governance will be taking part in the 𝐊𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐤𝐚 𝐀𝐤𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢 𝐌𝐀𝐃𝐀𝐍𝐈 𝐓𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐥 with the 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐚𝐰 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦 (𝐁𝐇𝐄𝐔𝐔), under the Prime Minister’s Department, in the presence of 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐨’ 𝐒𝐫𝐢 𝐀𝐳𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐎𝐭𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐝, at 𝐀𝐤𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐍𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐚.🌟

This town hall will bring together law students from national law schools across Malaysia. We are currently gathering student input on significant legal and institutional reforms, including the 𝐬𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐫, a 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝟏𝟎-𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦 𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫, the 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐭, a 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐨𝐦 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐜𝐭, and the 𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐎𝐦𝐛𝐮𝐝𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐚.

Responses will be compiled into a formal document and presented directly at the town hall, offering a meaningful opportunity for the legal youth of Malaysia to contribute to national reform as a unified voice.

Senior Associate at Azman Davidson & Co and a top CLP scorer, Amitaesh practises in dispute resolution and corporate litigation, with experience across all levels of the Malaysian courts. He is also the founder of the Taylor’s Mooting Society and an active mentor to aspiring lawyers.
