What coding skills are you excited for your kid to learn?

Hi everyone! A few days ago, I mentioned that something exciting was on the way—and here it is! 🎉🐣
I now have a brand-new course available this year: Intro to Python! 🐍 This introductory course is specially designed to help young learners transition from Scratch to Python. It’s perfect for kids who already have some experience with block-based coding and are familiar with basic coding concepts.
Now, you might wonder—why an introductory course before diving into Python? Python is a real-world, text-based programming language, and while it’s beginner-friendly, it can feel like a big leap for many young learners. This course bridges the gap between Scratch and Python by offering a gradual, hands-on approach to text-based coding.
I’ll start with a method that combines visual coding with Python syntax, easing the transition and reinforcing concepts they already know in a fun and approachable way. This ensures that kids feel confident and excited to move into the world of Python while keeping the learning curve smooth and engaging.
If your little one has enjoyed creating projects in Scratch and is curious about learning Python but you’re unsure if they’re ready for the leap, this course is the perfect stepping stone. It’s also a great way to gauge their interest in Python without overwhelming them right away.
I can’t wait to see what amazing things our young coders create this year! 💻✨

Send me a message if you'd like to know more about this course. 🐣

Hi everyone! I hope 2025 is off to an amazing start for you all! 🐣🎉
It’s been quite a while since I last posted here, and I wanted to reconnect and share what Code With Cigro has been up to over the past year.
Behind the scenes, I’ve been working hard on refining and testing different methods to make learning coding even more effective and enjoyable for kids. Every six months, I revisit and upgrade my lesson plans, methodologies, and progress strategies because I believe in constantly evolving with technology—and with the unique needs of every child.
Over the past year, I’ve also been exploring how to make the learning journey smoother and more cohesive. After some research, trial, and observation, I’m thrilled to say that exciting changes are coming! 🎉🐣 A brand-new course is on the way, designed to ensure a seamless transition for kids as they progress from one level to the next.
Stay tuned—I can’t wait to share more details with you soon. In the meantime, let me know in the comments: What coding skills or topics are you most excited for your kids to explore this year?

"In the same way we learn English, not just to become authors or journalists, but to communicate with others. And the same way Math doesn't just prepare us to become accountants or engineers. But it heps us solve probems, manage our finances and think logically. People who learn to code can become entrepreneurs, innovators, who connect people in new ways using new platforms. You could go into jobs like IT, cybersecurity, artificial intellgence, robotics with extra skills and extra literacy that can buffer you with some of the changes that are coming."
Dr. Bryson Payne
An award-winning cyber coach, professor, author, TEDx speaker, and the founding Director of the Center for Cyber Operations Education at the University of North Georgia.
This is an excerpt from the Ted Talk " How to Teach Kids to Code" by Bryson Payne. Such an inspiring video about the importance of coding in this era.

This week on Tech Talk, we discuss the issue of Cancel Culture, its origins, what it means to cancel someone, if we've unknowingly cancelled someone/something, how it affects people, and how to support people who are going through this. Stay tuned for more on this handle.
