Al-Fatihah literally means The Opening because the Qur’an opens with it. It is the first chapter (surah) of the Qur’an and is considered its ‘greatest surah’. It is seen to be a precise table of contents of the Qur’anic message because some scholars of exegesis have stated that this chapter is a summary of the whole Qur’an.
This verse is the supplication (du’a) to cure the Muslim’s heart from the diseases of rejection, ignorance, and misguidance. The chapter shows that the greatest blessing is the blessing of Islam. Therefore, whoever knows the truth and followed it, he will be most deserving of the straight path.

Dua for Last 10 nights of Ramadhan - by Sh Haitham Al Dukhayn
We believed in him (Muhammad SAW) and we did not see him,
We believed in him and we did not hear his words,
Oh God, grant us place under his banner.
Of those who kneel down and prostrate
(They will be) among lote trees with thorns removed,
And (banana) trees layered with fruit),
And shade extended, and water poured out and fruit, abundant (and varied),
Oh God, guide us among those You have guided,
And pardon us among those You have pardoned,
And look after us among those who You have looked after,
And protect us from the evil of what You have decreed,
For you decree and none can decree against You,
Our Lord, and our Master and our Protector
How can we call to You in our prayers?
When we disobey You when we are alone;
Only with Your Mercy,
Or how would we call out to You during hardships?
If we have forgotten You due to our desires;
Only with Your Grace,
Or how can the eyes sleep?
And You are, over all things, All-Watchful
And whilst every night You descend to the lowest heaven?
“Are there any who ask (of Me)?”
“Are there any who seek forgiveness?”
“Are there any who request?”
“Are there any who repent, that I can accept their repentance?”
We are repenters to You so accept our repentance,
We ask forgiveness for those who are in pain on Your doorstep, so forgive us,
We are transgressors, so overlook our mistakes for us,
We are sinners who have wronged in the darkness of the night, so lift Your anger from us,
And hide our sins,
And hide our faults with beauty,
We are asking,
Asking,
Asking,
We ask for Your satisfaction and Your Paradise,
And we seek refuge in You from Your wrath and the Fire,

Oh Allah, we ask You by Your greatest Name,
The one Adam a.s (peace be upon him) asked You with, and You responded,

We ask of You (with that name) to save our necks from the Fire,
Oh Allah, save our necks from the Fire,
Oh Allah, save our necks and the necks of our parents from the Fire,
This is our current situation in Your hand,
And this matter of ours is not hidden from You,
Have mercy Oh God, on our standing,
And our parents standing and (the standing) of every Muslim on the Day of Resurrection in Your hands,
Oh Safety of those who fear,
Oh Safety of those who fear,
Calm our fears,
And conceal our faults,
Calm our fears and conceal our faults,
Gather us with the friends of the righteous,
Gather us with the friends of the righteous,
With the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs and the righteous,
And excellent are those as companions
Oh Allah, our loved ones have gone to You,
And they are sweet guests in Your hands,
Indeed, their situation is no secret to You,
Oh Allah, make them safe in their graves,

And on the Day of Judgement make their testimony rest-assured,
By the side of Your beloved (peace and blessings be upon him) forever,
Bestow Your favour on our Record and their Record,
Make easy our account and their account,

And reunite us together (with our loved ones) in Your Gardens upon Gardens of Bliss,
Oh Most Merciful of those who show Mercy,
Oh Allah, bless us with what remains of Ramadhan,
And in it we have devoted to You with sincerity,
Oh Most Merciful of those who show Mercy,
And in it we have fasted and stood in prayer,
Oh Most Merciful of those who show Mercy,
And repeat it Oh Allah, year after year,
Whilst we are in wellness, health, safety and security,
Our Lord, accept (this) from us, Indeed You are the Hearing, the Knowing,
And accept our repentance. Indeed, You are the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful,
Our Lord, give us in this world (that which is) good,
And in the Hereafter (that which is) good,
And protect us from the punishment of the Fire.
And the last our call will be, “Praise to Allah, Lord of the Worlds!”
Praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds!
And peace and blessings be upon our master Muhammad SAW,
And upon his family and companions all together.
And how great is the regret of the one who is expelled from you door.
And how great is the disappointment of the one who is driven away from your love.
You are rich and we are poor.
You are the All-Mighty and we are humbled at your door.
You are strong and we are weak.
Exalted are you.
There is no God except you, indeed we have been of the wrongdoers.
