Headed by a dynamic and enthusiastic team, the Mauritian Cultural Society (MCS) aims at making everyone on campus experience the relaxed charm of the ‘Mauritian Culture’. In this spirit, various events which will allow members and non-members alike to interact in an entertaining setting are on our agenda for this year. Just to give you some mouth-watering insight on what we have planned for the fi
rst semester, we hope to reiterate the success generated by our signature events by making them grander and reaching out to a larger audience; our ‘Food Fest’ will present you with an even more diverse menu, rich in our island’s typical flavours and our ‘Duo Challenge’ will be made up of crazier out-of-this-world tasks. This year, our executive members also endeavour to bring much needed novelty to the MCS by looking into organising a mixed gender futsal tournament for boys and girls to be able to showcase their skills on the same platform, as well as an island trip, for we never have enough opportunities to enjoy the many diverse sceneries Malaysia has to offer. Moreover, as tradition demands, we will be hosting our usual French classes on a weekly basis for curious students who wish to have a first-hand experience with the French language or build-up on the knowledge they already possess. We look forward to contributing in making this academic year 15’16 memorably thrilling for you all.
