BEM Approved CPD/PDP Hours of 10 for Workshop
Dear Prof./Dr./Sir/Madam,
On behalf of the organizing committee, I would like to invite members of your organization to attend a 2-day workshop entitled International Workshop on: The Applications of Seismic Methods to Asphaltic and Concrete Pavement on 8thand 9th November 2017 at Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment, Universiti Kebangsaaan Malaysia, Malaysia. The speakers for this workshop are Prof. Sung-Ho Joh (Chung Ang University, Korea) and Khairul Anuar Mohd Nayan (VISI SGI Sdn Bhd).
This workshop intends to share with members from your organization with the introduction to resonance and surface-wave methods. The participants also will be exposed with an automated measurement system that has been developed at Chung-Ang University, Seoul, known as a pavement quick scanner (Q-Scanner). This equipment has been developed for the use in quality control and assurance program of asphaltic and concrete pavement. The Q-Scanner is based on the Leaky Surface Wave and Leaky Body Wave Resonance technique to evaluate the vertical variation of elastic modulus or compressive strength of asphaltic and concrete pavement systems by giving a cross-section of the measured profile. This workshop is organized in a manner that theory, hands on of the field tests and software practices are given so that the participants will be able to apply them in asphaltic and concrete pavement design applications and further research if required.
Attached herewith is the brochure for your kind perusal and attention. Please feel free to contact our committee members for further clarifications if necessary. Participants also can make an online registration through our form at https://goo.gl/jG1vYz
We will be grateful to you to forward this announcement to your colleagues and/or research students. Your support and consideration are highly appreciated.https://goo.gl/jG1vYz
Thank you.
Best wishes,
