Here’s a tool for kids who lose their place or focus when reading, who get overwhelmed when they see too many words, and for kids who struggle with working memory (which can impact not only attention but comprehension!). Cut a folder in half and remove the pocket, then cut out a rectangular reading window. You can add fidgets or sensory items to the holes to help with focus or to provide a break, or use them to store it inside a binder. Kids can use the full page version to take notes on reading with a dry erase marker. I also added calm strips to these to provide a visual and tactile cue under the reading window.
