While many companies are off for the Hari Raya Haji public holiday, our Founder and Principal Sales Trainer, Mindie Sai - Sales Performance Coach spent the day conducting retail sales training for a client from a public-listed gold jewellery company.
Over the past 3 years, we had the opportunity to train 10 batches of their front liners. Today’s session focused on developing their newer hires — employees who have been with the company for less than 2 years — to strengthen both their selling confidence and customer experience skills.
Some of the key areas we worked on today:
✨ Differentiating the business through experience-based selling
✨ Developing the right service mindset and attitude
✨ Managing emotions professionally during customer interactions
✨ Handling customers’ critical questions and objections effectively
✨ Responding in ways that take care of customers’ emotions
✨ Transforming from an order-taker into a trusted advisor
✨ Up-selling and cross-selling naturally without being pushy
✨ The do’s and don’ts when presenting jewellery
✨ Creating urgency and closing techniques
One of the most rewarding moments as a trainer is seeing participants transform from passive learners into actively engaged contributors throughout the session.
Grateful for the client’s continuous trust and partnership in allowing us to support and develop their sales team over the years.
Next month, we will be working closely with the Branch Heads to co-create and establish service standards that further elevate the customer experience across the retail branches.

Last week, our Founder and Principal Sales Trainer Mindie Sai - Sales Performance Coach conducted an advanced sales training program for an international printing and packaging company based in Malaysia.
What stood out during our discussion was this:
Every year, the company invests in sales training for their team. Initially, they were looking for “new” sales training topics because most conventional topics had already been covered before.
However, after deeper discussions with the sales leaders, we shifted the focus from finding new topics… to identifying the actual sales competency gaps within the team.
This is something many organizations overlook.
Effective training should not be driven by attractive program titles or trending topics alone. It should be designed to close competency gaps that are affecting sales performance and business growth.
Just because a team has attended a program before does not necessarily mean the skills have been fully mastered or consistently applied in the real business environment.
In this case, although the sales team had previously attended value-selling programs, we discovered that several competency gaps still existed — especially in navigating today’s changing market landscape and customer expectations.
As a result, the client decided to go deeper instead of broader.
This session focused on Advanced Strategic Value Selling — helping the sales team strengthen their ability to create value-driven conversations, handle complex customer challenges, and position solutions more strategically in a competitive market.
Sometimes, the real solution is not another “new topic.”
It is helping teams truly master the right competencies that drive results.

We’ve just successfully completed the first cohort of our 2-day Advanced Sales Training with a group of senior property consultants yesterday.
A special thank-you to the Sales GM who made time to attend Day 1 despite his busy schedule. After the session, he shared positive feedback about the training. A great affirmation of the value we’re creating together.
One of the participants immediately applied one of our WhatsApp messaging techniques right after the training, and received positive responses from two prospects!
Proof that when the right approach meets action, results happen fast.
In today’s market, the old “We only have a few units left” tactic no longer works.
Before creating urgency, we must first build interest and ignite desire in our customers.
Excited to continue this journey with Cohort 2 in the next two days!
