Have you heard? - Google I/O 2016 has been announced to happen on the May 18 - 20, 2016 and the countdown is running! We take a recap of Google I/O Extended 2015 Subang Jaya to show you what it is!

Google Student Ambassador along with Taylor's University Agents of Tech club has organized a Google I/O Extended 2015 Subang Jaya, a developer event where we watched as Google unveil their latest products and technologies all the way from San Francisco in real time!

The live stream of the keynote was the main attraction of the event, begun at 12.30 a.m and ends at 2.30 a.m Malaysian time (GMT+08). Concurrently happened across the globe in Moscone Center West, San Francisco, United States on May 28 at 9.30 a.m PDT hence it was a night setting for Malaysians.

Other interesting tech talks is hosted along the way to build up the experience!

Mini-events included: Women Techmaker, Shoptizen and Monetization on Play was lined-up as a part of the agenda in that one night to exposed attendees networking opportunities, shared their development experience and enhanced their technical knowledge.

This event was supported by Taylor's School of Computing & IT, Google Malaysia, GBG KL, Google Developer Group George Town, L*D, SAC and INTELLECT.

Google Apps for Education Workshop (2 Days) in UKM just completed. Participants undergo hands-on training under guide of GSA x certified Google Educator, SC Kim for learning more about Google Products such as Chrome, Drive, Mail, Docs, Calendar.

Over the last week, we brought Taylor's University students to Google Malaysia HQ for a scholarship lecture on Anita Borg Scholarship APAC 2015. The scholarship is aimed at empowering women and girls to be leaders in the involvement of computer and engineering fields. The event was a collaboration between Agents of Tech club and GSA Norman to give students the opportunity to learn more about Anita's contribution, statistics of women's involvement in the industry, scholarship requirements, to ask questions regarding the scholarship and to checkout Google office! :)

We wish all students a successive scholarship application!

Here's a chance for talented female students to win The Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship 2015.

Who should apply?
1. Be a female student enrolled in full-time undergraduate or postgraduate study at a university in 2015/2016.
2. Be enrolled at a University in Asia Pacific (Malaysia is included).
3. Be studying Computer Science, Software Engineering or a closely related technical field.
4. Maintain an excellent academic CGPA record.
The scholarship recipients will each receive a $20,000USD scholarship for the 2015-2016 academic year.

All scholarship recipients will be invited to visit a Google office in Shanghai, China for a networking retreat.
