What are the 4 major grounds for dismissal?
1. Unsatisfactory performance refers to a persistent failure to perform assigned duties or to meet prescribed standards on the j2. Specific reasons include excessive absenteeism, tardiness, a persistent failure to meet normal job requirements, or an adverse attitude.
3. Misconduct is deliberate and willful violation of the employer's rules and may include stealing and rowdy behavior.
4. Insubordination, a form of misconduct, is sometimes the grounds for dismissal. The two basic categories of insubordination are unwillingness to carry out the manager's orders and disrespectful behavior toward the manager.
My new staff hardly stays for a month & he wants to leave because someone is paying more.
This seems to be the common issues faced by managers/employers- staff turnover and it appears that there are no solution to it.
Although most resigning staff talks about better salaries elsewhere but in reality, is it the actual push factor?
Time again, I have seen new employees who are poorly inducted into the Company and what they expected during the interview process is totally the reverse of what was painted to them by the employer/interviewer.
Maybe it is time that the selection process & the onboarding program be revamped to reduce the perennial problems of staff turnover.
