Dear friends and guests, thank you for attending our "Stage Fright To Spotlight" workshop by John Ng.

For those who missed the workshop, here are the 3 gems from John, on how to overcome stage fright and become the powerful speaker you can be:

*1. The Power of 1%*: incremental and consistent progress (however small) will move you forward to your communication goals.

*2. Positive Framing:*
- turn your negative self-talk into positive affirmation. E.g.
"I can do this." "I'm brave" and "I've an opportunity to inspire others."

*3. Focus on the message, not yourself.*
- tell yourself you have an opportunity to inspire others with your message.

The theme of this meeting is 知音难觅 (Zhīyīn nán mì) - which means it is difficult to find soulmates or people who truly understand us in our lives. But, in the 20-min Table Topics session, we realised that in our lives we do have people we can talk comfortably to and also people who can understand us with just a glance.

We are also honoured to have 吕源志(𝗘𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗟𝗲𝗲), 𝗣𝗠𝟱 as our General Evaluator, providing us his observations in his witty and fun manner.
