[PARTICIPATION IN BIG BAD WOLF TRIP]

Dear IIUM students,

SDEV IIUM Kuantan, in collaboration with SRC 18/19 will be organizing two trips to Big Bad Wolf Book Sale 2018, which is held at MIECC, The Mines, Kuala Lumpur.

Below are the dates of the trips :
1⃣ Sunday (16/12/18)
2⃣ Monday (17/12/18)

Both are one-day trips and no fee is imposed.

Someone who sacrificed so much for us, thinking of us so frequently to ensure we are blessed with the true meaning of Islam🕋, doesn't he deserve your remembrance at least on this special occasion?

So, on this beautiful day, let us strengthen our effort to remember and love him (s.a.w), as it is what we are supposed to do along our life.

We would also like to encourage all of us to put our effort to know our Prophet s.a.w. deeper, and exemplify him in all aspects of life.
Indeed, he is the best role model for us.
May our effort to manifest our love towards him (s.a.w.) be counted by Allah.

[ANNOUNCEMENT ON APPLICATION OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE & SCHOLARSHIP]

Assalamualaikum wbt.

Attention to all IIUM Kuantan students, please be informed that the application for Financial Assistance & Scholarship is now open for Semester 2, 2017/2018 session. There are 3 applications available which are:

1. One Off Undergraduate Ummatic Assistance
2. Tuition Fee Reduction
3. Malaysian Rate (Undergraduate & Postgraduate Palestinian)

Students who wish to apply may collect the application form as follows:

Kuantan Campus
Date: 30th January 2018 until 15th February 2018
Time:
Morning session : 9.00 am - 12.00 pm
Noon session : 3.00 pm - 4.30 pm
Venue: Student Service Department, one Stop Student Centre (OSC), IIUM Kuantan.

All duly completed forms should be submitted latest by 23th February 2018. Kindly display your matric card for the collection of application form.

[IIUM MC/Hospital UIA Emergency Department Operation]

Assalamualaikum wbt,

The Emergency Department is now operational 24 hours everyday, especially for *critical* cases.
For minor complaints, where possible, students should still proceed to the Family Health Clinic, which is open Monday - Friday 8am till 10pm, and Saturday 830am to 130pm. As they may still be turned away from the hospital if there are more critical cases.

Please always remember to bring your or your friend's identification (IC/Passport and Matric Card) when seeking treatment. Also, IIUM has specialists on call for almost all departments now so make it your first choice where possible.

The tagline for our new SRC of 2017/18 is 'Rising, Higher, Together' which was chosen as it best represents our mission for this coming year insyaallah.

Rising. In the struggle for the betterment of the ummah, there are many obstacles to overcome. To rise is to awaken from our slumber as well as to rise above the challenges we face. We must keep rising above hate and intolerance, above the ignorance and pettiness in this world. Rise to the moment. Rise for Islam.

Higher. We must always seek to improve ourselves and go higher, do more, aspire greater. And that is what we hope to do and to inculcate in the students of IIUM Kuantan, the hunger for greatness. To be better than the person we were yesterday. To stand taller, to reach higher.

Together. Lastly but by no means least, it is important that we go on this journey together, both as members of the highest student council and together as one campus.

A true Muslim leader is only as good as the people around him and we must always remember to lend a hand, a shoulder, a kind word, to bring up those around us. It is our aim to build people up, together.

[KONVENSYEN FIQH PERUBATAN]

Assalamualaikum w.b.t.
Kembali semula pada sidang ini, Persatuan Sains Perubatan USM (MEDSOC) dan Pusat Islam dengan kerjasama MedTweetMY akan menganjurkan Konvensyen Fiqh Perubatan dengan tema yang lebih menarik. Konvensyen kali ini ternyata lebih istimewa berbanding sebelumnya kerana menggabungkan Forum Pro-Vaksin dan isu Fiqh Perubatan dalam satu konvensyen.
Sebagai contoh, persoalan seperti
Perlukah pesakit yang terlantar lama menunaikan solat? atau Apakah hukum tidak memberikan vaksin kepada anak-anak, kerap menjadi isu pada masa ini.

Oleh itu, Konvensyen ini bukan sahaja mengupas tentang pengambilan wuduk dan tayamum dalam pengurusan pesakit tetapi juga membuka peluang kepada masyarakat untuk mengetahui dengan lebih mendalam tentang isu vaksin.

Butiran program adalah seperti berikut:-
