As an entrepreneur, if you want to gain more business, you need to showcase your value.

Showcasing your value isn't boasting. It is a strategic move. You do not have to brag about it. Your work will demonstrate your value and you can do it authentically and constructively.

Let's take this photo as an example. This photo was taken by a hired photographer. We realised that not many hired photographers can capture our son's photo while he is in the air.

No point taking photos of him standing or picking up the ball instead of action shots. We want action shots of him. Photos which we are unable to take with our smart phones.

As a customer, when we receive this kind of photos, we would want to re-hire the photographer again. Then, we will become a loyal customer.

Be extraordinary, it is ok to showcase your value.

When confronted with something difficult in anything you do, don't give up. The easiest way for many is just to give up and start something new.

Instead, try to see it as your opportunity to learn.

By developing a growth mindset, you're not only setting yourself up for greater success in achieving your goals — you will also face challenges in a different, more intentional way, and as a result, it makes you more resilient to be better and stronger.

How to Educate Children/Teens the Value of Money?

From my personal experience, give your child/teen a monthly allowance and educate him or her to manage it - to spend, save and give.

*Give/contribute to siblings is noble too.

Rules:
1. Cannot ask anymore if money runs out.
2. Find a safe space to keep cash
3. Allowances can be divided into Grab e-wallet and cash.

Learning Outcome:
1. Be accountable
2. Be responsible
3. Be a decision maker
4. Be resilient

Impact:
1. When he or she realises that certain amount is expensive and out of their budget, that is when the self-realisation is achieved.
2. When he or she knows how to prioritise on spending.
3. When they run out of money, they feel the scarcity.

We as parents are always protective and want to give the best to our children. I used to have this mentality that I will give and give everything to my children as that was the way I was brought up.

But, that is actually not healthy for them in the long term. They must understand hardships so that they can grow to be better people, appreciate what they have and lead more meaningful lives in the future.
