On 3rd June 2026, we hosted our IGCSE Curriculum Information Session with our Year 9 students and parents.

It was a valuable opportunity for families to meet subject teachers, explore the IGCSE pathways, and gain a deeper understanding of the options available moving forward.

Having completed their Open Water course on the 2025 school trips, 5 of our students returned in 2026, accompanied by Miss Sim. During the 8 dives they completed, students completed the PADI "Dive Against Debris" course, the training for the "Crown of Thorns Eradication program" and one night dive. They collected over 67 kg of rubbish that they had to identify and weigh, before putting their results on the PADI database, along with the location, time and date. They also had to log on a similar database the number of crown of thorns starfish they injected with vinegar and food dye, as well as the location, date and time. Finally, despite some apprehension, they completed a night dive which culminated in seeing baby sharks swimming close to shore. The students are now ready to take on the challenges of the Advanced Open water course! Thank you to BnJ Diving Centre, especially Instructors Wendy and Linde for the courses.
