INTERNATIONAL ENGINEERING POSTGRADUATE COLLOQUIUM (IEPC) 2026

The Center of Excellence for Advanced Computing (AdvComp), in collaboration with the Centre of Excellence for Advanced Sensor Technology (CEASTech), successfully organised the International Engineering Postgraduate Colloquium (IEPC) 2026 on 2 March 2026 at the Vibe Room, Faculty of Intelligent Computing, Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP).

IEPC 2026 serves as an extension of AdvComp’s monthly Karipap Sharing session, expanding the platform to an international level where postgraduate researchers and distinguished scholars come together to exchange ideas, share research progress, and foster academic collaboration.

The colloquium featured keynote presentations by Prof. Kentaro Go from the University of Yamanashi, Japan, who delivered a keynote address entitled “Human-centered Design of Remote-Controlled Slit Lamp Microscopes”, and Assistant Professor Intan Dzikria from Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Surabaya, Indonesia, who presented “Human–AI Synergy: Designing Trust, Behavior, and Responsibility in Intelligent Systems.”

This event, which was officiated by Prof. Ir. Dr. R Badlishah Bin Ahmad, Advisor of AdvComp, UniMAP, also featured postgraduate research presentations from participants representing Malaysia and Japan, providing a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and strengthening international research collaboration.

AdvComp would like to express its sincere appreciation to CEASTech, the keynote speakers, participants, and organising committee members for their contributions towards the success of this programme.

Karipap Sharing Session: Episode 2
18 June 2025
AdvComp Postgraduate Room Lounge

Thank you to everyone who joined our recent Karipap Sharing Session, organized by the AdvComp Postgraduate Students Committee! 🎓✨

In this session, Syed Hezry, a Master’s student, shared his research journey and current progress under a grant project focused on enhancing primary education through digital innovation.

He presented his work on developing Android applications and Augmented Reality (AR) tools to support interactive learning experiences among primary students in Kedah. His sharing highlighted efforts to strengthen literacy and numeracy foundations, especially for students in underserved communities — showing how technology can empower meaningful change in early education. 📱📚

It was a meaningful and santai sharing session, complemented by a selection of traditional kuih served to all participants. The relaxed setting encouraged discussion, connection, and knowledge sharing. 🍵🧁

To wrap up the session on a sweet note, we also celebrated the birthday of one of our fellow postgraduate students! 🎉🎂

Thank you, Syed Hezry, for the inspiring presentation — and to everyone who made the session warm, engaging, and memorable.
