And our beloved students from MAHSA and University of Catherine,
Alhamdulillah, we gather here today at the closing of a very meaningful 11-day journey.
On behalf of MAHSA University, it gives me great pleasure to welcome all of you to this Closing Ceremony of the MAHSA University of Catherine Mobility Program 2026.
To our academic Partners from Tokyo, thank you for traveling so far to be with us. We hope Malaysia has given you not just knowledge, but warmth, hospitality, and memories that will last a lifetime.

2. Reflection Program & Objectives
Over the past 11 days, from 2nd September to 11th September 2026 today we have lived our theme: Healthcare, Culture & Community Engagement.
This program was designed with 3 clear objectives:
First, to strengthen academic and cultural collaboration between MAHSA University and University of Catherine.
Second, to expose our students to Malaysia’s healthcare system, community health practices, and our rich cultural heritage.
And third, to foster global citizenship, teamwork, and cross-cultural understanding.
I believe we have achieved all of that.
Our delegates had the opportunity to observe hospital operations at IJN( Institute of National Heart ) and Prince Court Medical Centre engage in community health initiatives, and learn how healthcare in Malaysia is delivered with compassion and excellence.
Beyond the classroom and hospital, you experienced our culture - our food, our traditions, our multiracial harmony. This is the Malaysia we are proud of.
3. Learning Outcomes
To our students, I hope you are taking home more than just a certificate.
I hope you now have:
The knowledge to describe how a different healthcare system works.
The skills to communicate and work in a multicultural team.
The clinical exposure that broadens your perspective as future healthcare professionals.
The cultural appreciation that makes you more empathetic global citizens.
And the ability to reflect and think about how we can continue to collaborate in the future.
That is the true success of a mobility program.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank:
The International Office, Business Partnership for coordinating this program seamlessly,
Our Dean and School of Nursing for the academic and clinical arrangements,
The hospitals and community partners for opening their doors to our delegates,
And most importantly, the lecturers and students from both MAHSA and University of Catherine for your active participation and cooperation.
Special thanks to our Japanese delegates. You have brought discipline, curiosity, and respect.
In addition,
Mobility programs are not just about travel. They are about building bridges. Bridges between institutions, between countries, and between hearts.
As we close this program today, I hope this is not the end, but the beginning of a long-term partnership. Let us continue to exchange ideas, research, and most importantly, continue to learn from each other.
To our students you are the future of healthcare. Be bold, be compassionate, and always remember that health has no borders.
Finally, I would like to thank everyone once again for making this program a success. Safe travels to our delegates from Tokyo, and we look forward to welcoming you back to Malaysia soon.
