"The Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) award represents the highest level of educational achievement in Toastmasters." That is what was written on the Toastmasters' webpage.
But personally to me, it is a proof of my Toastmasters adventure for the past 8 years.
An adventure of an introverted man who shy away from public to an extroverted-introvert Toastmaster who can speak when needed.
An adventure to know people who are out of your common circle. People from different fields, background, ethnicity and country, yet has the same passion in public speaking while upholding integrity, respect, service and excellence.
This achievement is not an achievement which can be achieved by effort alone. It is a collective effort from fellow Toastmasters who believed and aspired each other to do better and be better. It involves seizing opportunities, making sacrifices, resolving conflicts, and fostering relationships.
I sincerely thank everyone from Famosa Toastmasters Club (Sandra Shunmugam, Pierre Ray, Michelle Wong. Ariff Imran Anuar Yatim, Irene Liew, Rashmi Raghav) , Melaka Bilingual Advanced Toastmasters Club (Tan Mei Fang, Jenny Ng, Y.k. Wee) (not forgetting ALTO Toastmasters Club Somsubhra De, Sharmini Arumugam Keerthana Murali Tharan )for the support given throughout my adventure.
I would also thank Rama Chendra, Kugen Ramachendra, Darren Lee, Danish Akhtar Danish , Narendra Kumar Reddy for being part of my Division Council when I was a Division Director.
Not forgetting, thanks to Teoh Chun Ming, CP Lau, Woo Hui Qin, Robert Ram for the opportunity given.
