CHARTING THE NEXT HORIZON: LEADERSHIP CHANGE AT THE SURFACE WARFARE SCHOOL

10 Dec - The Handing Over Ceremony for the Head of the Surface Warfare School was held at the AB Jamal Auditorium, KD PELANDOK. The event marked an important leadership transition within the establishment.

Lt Cdr Mohamad Farhan bin Abdul Razak RMN officially handed over his duties as he prepares to pursue a Master of Maritime Policy at the University of Wollongong, Australia. His successor, Lt Cdr Mohamad Zaki bin Mohamad Yunus RMN, assumes the position after successfully completing the 85th RTN Command and Staff College Course in Thailand.

The ceremony was witnessed by Cdr Abdul Hamid bin Abu Bakar RMN, Head of Seaman Faculty and attended by officers and sailors of KD PELANDOK.

Sincere appreciation is extended to Lt Cdr Mohamad Farhan bin Abdul Razak RMN for his dedication, professionalism, and contributions throughout his tenure.

Warm congratulations are also offered to Lt Cdr Mohamad Zaki bin Mohamad Yunus RMN on his appointment as the new Head of the Surface Warfare School. His leadership will continue to uphold high standards and drive the school toward greater achievements.

From 21 July 2025 to 9 November 2025, these dedicated trainees demonstrated exceptional skill, discipline, and perseverance. The closing ceremony at KD PELANDOK marked the celebration of their hard work and achievements.

KD PELANDOK Commanding Officer, Captain Ahmad Rashidi bin Othman RMN, along with the Chief of Training, Head of Seaman Faculty, and Head of School, join the group photo at the Closing Ceremony of the Leading 'Q' Course. All of them proudly display the 'X' hand sign – symbolizing gunnery with two barrels crossing each other – celebrating the trainees hard work and achievement.
