Last week during Golf Camp at Epsom, our young golfers took on a team scramble against the older groups, putting communication, strategy and decision-making into play in a fun, competitive setting. With a two-shot head start, they began at -2 and worked together throughout the round!

Our coaching team at GOLFZON Leadbetter Academy at Epsom College Malaysia are problem solvers. Through creating meaningful experiences, the student is able to understand his challenges and deficiencies more obviously.

It’s starts with where the ball goes, realising tendencies if they exist and then stripping back the layers to the heart of the problem.

A classic example here of inconsistent strike patterns, varied misses with every shot. The fixes took us back to the fundamentals of grip and posture and we suddenly start to see positive change.

Creating a cognitive understanding is imperative and this happens before we can expect to see practical improvement.
