Our Thursday on Purpose (ToP) #4 | 16 April 2026 ✨

A beautiful reminder of what happens when we intentionally create space for everyone 💛

We were truly overwhelmed by the response to “CREATE & CONNECT” — Autism Awareness through Bracelet-Making Workshop, where art met advocacy in the most meaningful way 🤩

Huge shoutout to Autism Cafe Project for leading such an inspiring workshop with their talented creators—and for the absolutely delicious food! 🍽️🔥

To our 38 amazing participants, thank you for showing up, creating, and connecting. Through this session, approximately RM2,500 was raised in support of ACP, while creating meaningful opportunities for connection and interaction across diverse communities.

Every bead strung wasn’t just art—it was a small but powerful step toward building a more inclusive community ✨

Thank you for supporting this IMU Cares initiative, driven by the B.R.I.D.G.E. Committee, as we continue advancing inclusivity together 🤝

The first-ever Thursday on Purpose (TOP) at Clinical Campus, Seremban was a SUCCESS ⚡🤩

Our “Safe & Sound: A Hearing Experience” session on 12 March 2026 brought the perfect mix of curiosity, hands-on discovery, and fun. From testing hearing to exploring the impact of everyday noise—and learning how to protect it—it was amazing to see everyone fully immersed 💡

14 participants showed up, got involved, and walked away with valuable insights on hearing health 👂🎧

Huge shoutout to everyone who made the session so vibrant and engaging!

Change doesn’t happen by chance—it starts with conversations that matter 🌱

At our second Thursday on Purpose, "MOVE THE NEEDLE: IMU Sustainability Living Lab", students and staff came together to co-create ideas that drive real impact across IMU.

In just 2 hours, 48 passionate minds collaborated, shared perspectives, and sparked ideas for meaningful change, laying the foundation for a more sustainable campus 🌿

Every voice mattered. Every idea counted.

Thank you for being part of something bigger than ourselves—now let’s turn these ideas into action 💚

Late post, but too good not to share! 🌿

We officially kicked off our new Thursday on Purpose (TOP) series with our first session, “Mindfulness for Wellbeing & Sustainability,” in January 2026. The session invited IMU staff to take a meaningful pause during lunchtime and reconnect with what matters most.

Thursday on Purpose (TOP) is a monthly lunchtime series designed as a midweek reset—bringing staff and students together for relaxed, engaging sessions to pause, learn something new, and recharge.

In our first session, participants explored simple mindfulness techniques, reflected on building positive daily habits, and discovered how personal wellbeing connects with sustainable living. 🤩🌏

THE BEST PART? Everyone left with a plant to care for—serving as a gentle reminder that, much like mindfulness, growth happens through small, consistent acts of care and attention.” 🌱

✨ Collaboration for Health at RUN FOR PEACE 2025 ✨

On 6th September 2025 (Saturday), in conjunction with the RUN FOR PEACE event held by Soka Gakkai Malaysia (SGM) 🌏, we partnered up with St John Ambulance Malaysia (SJAM) 🤝 at MAEPS Serdang to provide interested participants with health screening services.

Our screening stations included:
✅ Height and weight measurements
✅ Blood glucose checks
✅ Blood pressure monitoring
✅ Eye examinations 👀

The health screening initiative was aimed not only to promote healthy and active living, but to also empower individuals with knowledge and tools to oversee their own health. Notably, participants with diabetes were guided on self-monitoring practices and was provided with a complimentary glucometer to support their health journey 🩺

The encouraging turnout reflected the community’s strong commitment towards wellness and active lifestyles. 🌱💪

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our dedicated volunteers, the SJAM team, and most importantly, SGM for inviting us to be part of this meaningful event. Together, we continue to strengthen the message that prevention and self-care are key to long-term health. 💙

✨ A Meaningful Collaboration! ✨
With Pusat Aktiviti Warga Emas (PAWE) & MPP MBSJ Zon 4 – Pusat Komuniti MBSJ 💙

📅 23rd August 2025 (Saturday)
📍 Pusat Komuniti MBSJ MPP Zon 4 - Subang Jaya

We were truly grateful for the chance to reach out to the elderly community through a day filled with health screenings — from blood glucose checks 🩸 to eye consultations 👀.

💡 Alongside this, we held engaging health talks on topics ranging from prevention of diabetes to steps on taking better care for the eyes and feet.Huge thanks to our amazing professors for making the session fun, interactive, and easy to understand 🙌.

🍎 Special shoutout to for setting up the Diet Chit-Chat booth for our participants! Participants had the chance for one-on-one sessions with our final year dietetics students — asking questions, getting tailored advice, and learning how to improve their diets.

This event wouldn’t have been possible without our passionate volunteers 💪 and the ever-supportive team from PAWE. Together, we reminded the community that they are the ones truly in control of their health 🌟.

🤍 Thank you to everyone who joined us — your presence makes a huge difference in raising awareness for a healthier community!

✨ Stay tuned for more exciting activities coming soon and we see shall see you in the next post! 😉

🌍 Every child deserves to grow up safe, loved, and protected. 🫂 Child protection is not a privilege—it’s a basic right. 💪

On 13 Aug 2025, together with .my, we co-hosted a session under the ASEAN Sustainable Urbanisation Forum (ASUF):
✨ “Digital Safety in Smart Cities: Child Protection in a Connected World”

In just 1½ hours, lawmakers ⚖️, child rights advocates 📜, and students 🏛️ came together to share insights on:
🔹 Online risks faced by children and teens 🚨
🔹 Laws & policies protecting the young
🔹 How we can build safer, more inclusive digital spaces

When we protect children, we protect the future. Let’s stand together for a world where every child is free to dream and live without fear. 👧👦✨

✨ A meaningful collaboration with Komuniti Sihat Pembina Negara (KOSPEN) and National Kidney Foundation (NKF)– Surau An-Najah, Precinct 9, Putrajaya! ✨

We were very fortunate to collaborate with KOSPEN and NKF as our wonderful team reached the ever welcoming and wonderful community at Precinct 9, Putrajaya, where in conjunction with a carnival, we conducted health screenings ranging from blood glucose checks to eye consultations. 🩺

Our aim for this outreach was to empower individuals to take charge of their health, which plays into perfectly with the theme for this event: “Hidup Sihat, Sempurna Ibadat”, Diabetic residents were taught on how to monitor their own blood glucose levels, and each of them received a complimentary glucometer to aid them towards their journey of healthy living 💪

This event would not have been a success without the unwavering support of our dedicated volunteers and the incredible team from . It was you all who helped raise awareness and reminding them that they are the ones truly in control of their health 💙

A heartfelt thank you to Surau-An Najah for generously providing us with a place to spread our message to the community.

Last weekend, we had a powerful workshop with the medical students in IMU University Seremban Clinical Campus. The workshop was organized by the committee and fully sponsored by IMU Cares. 🧸

We are honoured to have inspiring speakers from Child Abuse Community Training Malaysia (Child A.C.T), Ms Amnani, and Paediatrician and head of Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect (SCAN) team in Paediatric department in Tuanku Jaáfar Hospital, Seremban (HTJS), Dr Juliana. 🤩

Through real-life case discussions and legal insights, participants learned how to spot signs of child abuse and how to act and advocate for vulnerable children. 🩺 By equipping ourselves with the knowledge and tolls in the hope of reducing and even stopping child abuse and neglect. 🫂

Future doctors are about healing and protecting. 💙
