While visiting SMK Convent Peel Road, Kuala Lumpur, our team came across the school’s “Puteri-Puteri Cemerlang CPR” display, celebrating the achievements of its outstanding female students.
What really caught our attention was seeing that 4 of the students featured have gone on to become cabin crew. ✈️
It was such a lovely surprise to see.
We often think of an “outstanding student” in terms of academic results, competitions and awards. But seeing this display reminded us that success can also be about where a student eventually finds her own path in life.
From being a student in school to becoming cabin crew, meeting people from different backgrounds, experiencing different cultures and building a career of her own — that is also an achievement worth celebrating.
What we especially appreciated was seeing the school recognise career achievements alongside academic achievements.
For students who are still in school and wondering what they want to do in the future, seeing real alumni who have gone on to different careers can be incredibly meaningful.
Sometimes, all a young person needs is to see someone a few steps ahead and think:
“Maybe I can do that too.” ❤️✈️
Seeing these 4 cabin crew among the school’s Puteri-Puteri Cemerlang was definitely one of the little moments that stayed with our team from yesterday’s visit.
