🇲🇾✨ To celebrate Malaysia Day on 16th September, our little ones made their very own handprint flag craft! During the activity, they also learned the Mandarin vocabulary for “Flag (国旗 guó qí)” and discovered the meaning behind the colours of the Malaysia flag. 🌟❤️💛🤍💙

🌿《大自然》主题课堂回顾 Nature Discovery Class Recap 🌈
在上周的课堂中，孩子们一起探索了大自然中的六个元素：风、雨、花、草、水与火🔥。

他们认识了“火”的样子与颜色，知道火焰可以是红色、橙色甚至黄色✨。
我们也特别让孩子们明白——火是热的，也是危险的，不能碰、不能玩！🚫🔥 安全知识从小建立非常重要。

随后，孩子们动手画出属于自己的火焰，并根据自己的创意为它上色🎨。每一幅作品都展现了他们的观察力与想象力！

Last week, the children explored six elements of nature: wind, rain, flowers, grass, water, and fire.
They learned that fire is hot and dangerous – it cannot be touched or played with! 🚫🔥
They also discovered the colors of fire – red, orange, and yellow – and used their creativity to draw and color their very own flames. 🔥🖌️

🎉🐉【端午节快乐！Happy Dragon Boat Festival!】🐉🎉

端午节 (Duānwǔ Jié), also known as the Dragon Boat Festival, is one of the most important traditional festivals in Chinese culture.

This year, it falls on Saturday, 31 May 2025. 🗓️

It is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month to honor the patriotic poet 屈原 (Qū Yuán). To remember him, people race dragon boats and eat 粽子 (zòngzi) – sticky rice dumplings wrapped in leaves.

端午节 reminds us of the values of loyalty, cultural pride, and remembering our history. ❤️

🌸 A Blooming Surprise for Mom & Dad! 🌸
Last week, our little artists created beautiful paper bouquets to celebrate their amazing parents — just in time for Mother’s Day! 💐💖

Along with their adorable crafts, we also taught them to say a special phrase in Mandarin: “母亲节快乐！” (Happy Mother’s Day!) 🗣️ It was heartwarming to see them practice the language while expressing love and gratitude.

From cutting and folding to decorating with bright smiles, every bouquet was made with lots of care and tiny hands full of love. We’re so proud of their creativity and thoughtfulness! ✂️🎨

🎊 Throwback to Our Chinese New Year Celebration! 🧧The kids had so much fun baking New Year 🍪, painting lacquer fans🪭showcasing their beautiful Hanfu outfits, and for many, writing red couplets for the first time🎉🎊

It was heartwarming to see them experience and embrace Chinese culture through the activities. Their smiles and excitement truly made the celebration special! ❤️

Last week’s club activity was full of joy and creativity! 🎄🎅 The kids crafted Santa Claus masks using paper plates, colored paper, and strings. During the activity, they learned some fun new vocabulary:

家长小贴士：如何在家帮助孩子学习中文？
1⃣ 适当挑战：和孩子一起复习课堂上学过的中文内容，尝试用更复杂一点的句子造句，比如将“吃饭”延伸为“我喜欢吃饭”。
2⃣ 互动学习：用中文提问，比如“这是什么颜色？” “你喜欢吃什么？” 帮助孩子用中文表达。

We believe every child has a “Zone of Proximal Development” (ZPD): the space where they can’t quite do something on their own yet but can achieve it with the guidance of a teacher or parent. In our classes, children move step by step from “I’m not sure” to “I’ve got it!” with the help of professional instruction. 📚👩‍🏫
Tips for Parents: How to Help Your Child Learn Chinese at Home
1⃣ Offer Small Challenges: Review what they learned in class and help them build more complex sentences. For example, extend “吃饭 (eating)” to “我喜欢吃饭 (I like eating).”
2⃣ Interactive Practice: Ask questions in Chinese, like “这是什么颜色？(What color is this?)” or “你喜欢吃什么？(What do you like to eat?)” to encourage your child to respond in Chinese.
