Infrastructure is the key enabler for development of sustainable township and green living. In our drive towards building and community scale green solutions, management of common infrastructure components such as roads, drainage, water supply, sewerage collection and treatment systems, power supply, telecommunications and solid waste generates at the township and neighbourhood levels are given less focus, while it generates most of the carbon footprint in any given development.
This talk aims to discuss the status quo of infrastructure design in Malaysia’s typical townships and discusses how solutions can be developed and realized through close collaboration between the project owner and design team.
