A day of dialogue and strategic engagement at INCEIF University.

From a roundtable on OIC economic and financial integration to a leadership engagement with Prof. Mehmet, joined by INCEIF University’s President & CEO, Prof Emeritus Dato’ Dr Azmi Omar, and senior leadership including INCEIF Professor, Prof. Dr Turalay Kenc, the engagements reflect a shared commitment to advancing ideas and strengthening collaboration.

Bringing together perspectives from Malaysia and Türkiye, the session also welcomed representatives from Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University, as well as Dr Tarik Akin, Head of Finance Department at the Investment Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, underscoring the importance of cross-border collaboration in shaping the future of the industry.

INCEIF’s delegates recently met with representatives from Sberbank, Russia’s largest bank, at its Islamic Banking branch in Moscow.

The meeting was attended by Ms Kamilla Keshtova (Projects Manager, Islamic Financing Department), Mr Edward Davletov (Projects Manager, Islamic Financing Department), and Mr Islam Galeev (Head of Sberbank Islamic Financing Office in Moscow).

Both INCEIF and Sberbank discussed prospects for mutual collaboration in the areas of human capital development and research initiatives.

How do faith, moral excellence (iḥsān), and Islamic egalitarianism inspire younger Muslims to give through cash waqf?

This new study finds that religiosity indirectly boosts charitable intention among Generations Y–Z in Malaysia, through values of iḥsān and fairness. It highlights how strengthening ethical and social consciousness can enhance youth participation in Islamic philanthropy.

Congratulations to Kashifa Nosheen on successfully passing her PhD Viva Voce Examination at INCEIF University for her dissertation titled “Empirical Evidence on Macro Prudential Policies and Financial Stability in Dual Banking Jurisdictions.”

The Viva Voce session was chaired by Professor Dr. Younes Souhali, with Professor Dr. Mansor H. Ibrahim as the Main Supervisor and Professor Dr. Turalay Kenc as the Co-Supervisor. The examination panel included Assist. Professor Dr. Ali Zhang Hengchao as the Internal Examiner and Prof. Dr. Emrah Ismail Cevik as the External Examiner.

Well done on this important academic milestone. Wishing Kashifa Nosheen continued success in her research and professional journey.

INCEIF University recently held a meeting with Prof. Dr Bambang Brodjonegoro, Dean and CEO of the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI), Tokyo, Japan.

Representing INCEIF were Professor Emeritus Dato' Dr Mohd Azmi Omar, President & Chief Executive Officer; Prof Dr Mansor Haji Ibrahim, Deputy President Academic & Dean; Dr Marjan Muhammad, Deputy President Research; and Prof. Dr. Amir bin Shaharuddin, Director of CoEISF.

The discussion explored potential research collaboration on scaling up the utilisation of Islamic social finance funds to support sustainability and climate change initiatives.
