The Winter Solstice Festival, also known as Dongzhi Festival (冬至) falls between December 21 – 23 every year – this year 2025, we celebrate it on December 21.

Dongzhi (冬至) means "Winter's Arrival" or "Extreme of Winter" and refers to the Chinese Winter Solstice, a significant festival marking the shortest day/longest night, symbolizing yin (dark) energy peaking and yang (light/warmth) beginning to grow, celebrated with family meals, especially tangyuan (glutinous rice balls) or jiaozi (dumplings), representing reunion snd renewal.

Our little ones celebrated Deepavali in true festive style — with colourful kolam, dazzling dance moves, yummy muruku, sweet treats, and even beautiful henna art! 🌈💃🍬

Here’s to a festival of lights that fills every heart with joy and every classroom with sparkle.

Fridays are fun!

Morning outdoor play - Training the gross motor skills, team work and games to play! The older ones assisting the young ones. 👍🏻

Then a work on the creativity and imagination - Painting bringing forth a calm & peaceful environment as the children transforms their thoughts into beautiful pieces of art with their own stories to tell !!!!

We watch and are amazed at their talents and abilities. ❤️

It is always a great day at Sparkles! Interesting learning activities from ages 1yr to 6yrs.

Developing social skills, hand eye co-ordination, refining motor skills & working independently through self-directed activities. That is the Montessori Way! ❤️👍🏻

Every child is special to us.🙏
Every child is loved unconditionally.❤️

This child at 2yrs 9mths is able to arrange all the letters of the alphabets as well as match the big and small letters correctly.

Provided with the correct materials which was chosen by the child and the space to work without interruptions we are amazed at the results.

Well done!! We are so proud of you. 🥰
