The Winter Solstice Festival, also known as Dongzhi Festival (冬至) falls between December 21 – 23 every year – this year 2025, we celebrate it on December 21.

Dongzhi (冬至) means "Winter's Arrival" or "Extreme of Winter" and refers to the Chinese Winter Solstice, a significant festival marking the shortest day/longest night, symbolizing yin (dark) energy peaking and yang (light/warmth) beginning to grow, celebrated with family meals, especially tangyuan (glutinous rice balls) or jiaozi (dumplings), representing reunion snd renewal.

It is the Annual School Concert again!

Fridays are fun!

Morning outdoor play - Training the gross motor skills, team work and games to play! The older ones assisting the young ones. 👍🏻

Then a work on the creativity and imagination - Painting bringing forth a calm & peaceful environment as the children transforms their thoughts into beautiful pieces of art with their own stories to tell !!!!

We watch and are amazed at their talents and abilities. ❤️

It is always a great day at Sparkles! Interesting learning activities from ages 1yr to 6yrs.
