Ching Loong and his team are building a full technology stack from sensors to ML/AI led decision making in property. He has the privileged to share his knowledge in conferences organized by Microsoft, Ministry of Defense, Toast Master, Nirvana Group, KSI, Royal Institute of Surveyor Malaysia (RISM), Malaysian Institute of Property & Facility Managers (MIPFM), Faculty of Built Environment University Malaya (UM), Construction University of Shen Yang, China etc.

Holding a Master Degree in Surveying from University of Reading and a Degree of Computer System from University of Staffordshire, he obtained a Certificate of Estate Agency from National Institute of Valuation Malaysia (INSPEN) and Professional Auctioning Certificate from University of Malaya. Currently he is a Registered Property Manager, Probationary Estate Agent with the Board of Valuer, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers.

After Tenancy Administration Q&A, Reading.my is pleased to have Sr Victor Huang again sharing with us - Tenancy Administration introduction!

Act says rental collection, payment of outgoings, arrangement for minor repairs and handing over and taking over the possession of a property of any land and buildings and of any interest therein a tenancy administration. What we need to know as investor? Property Investors need to know that this is important for cost calculation and should put into consideration since day one investment. Speaker Profile:
Sr Huang graduated in 1999 from University of Greenwich, England with a Bachelor in Estate Management with honours and is a registered valuer, estate agent and property manager with the Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers Malaysia (BOVAEP). He went straight into private practice with Appraisal (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd as a Valuation Executive before moving on to Henry Butcher Malaysia (Sel) Sdn Bhd, moving up the ranks to Senior Manager between December 2000 and 2009, handling valuations for for the purposes of financing, Securities Commission | Bursa Malaysia submissions, Central Bank of Malaysia (BNM) submissions, financial reporting, sales, rent reviews, sewerage capital contribution fund etc.

He then joined DTZ Nawawi Tie Leung Property Consultants Sdn Bhd’s Consulting and Research team and was involved with other departments well including advisory to the Investment team where he assisted to close a tender sale of an industrial property and handled retail centre studies with the Retail team for retail centres in Johor Bahru and Kuala Lumpur. He was also one of the contributors to DTZ’s Kuala Lumpur Property Times.

He then assisted to set up Complete Real Estate & Management Sdn Bhd (now Elmwood Estates Sdn Bhd) in April 2011 where he was Head of Agency. He was in-charge of moving some 100 units of properties for re-sale and rolling stocks of rental units besides assisting the property management side.

He currently heads HASB Consultants (Selangor) Sdn Bhd based in Petaling Jaya since 2013 and assists to run HASB Facilities Management Sdn Bhd, where the Petaling Jaya provides valuation, estate agency and facility and property management services, handling both corporate and retail clients.

He plays active roles in the RICS and RISM, where he is currently serving as a RICS Licensed Assessor and served the Property Surveying (PS) Division committee from the 2013/2014 to 2018/2019 sessions, representing the division to RISM Main Council’s sub-committees, various government ministries and various practice committees at the BOVAEP. He was also involved in the amendments to the Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers Act 1981 (Act 242), workshops to propose recommendations for the Strata Management Act 2013 (Act 757), the Malaysian Estate Agency Standards (MEAS), the Malaysian Property Management Standards (MPMS) and the Uniform Methods of Measurements for Buildings (UMMB).

He was in the organising committee of ASEAN Real Estate Network Alliance (ARENA) Convention & Exhibition 2017 (ACE 2017) held in August 2017 in Kuala Lumpur and is active in Toastmasters via MIEA Toastmasters Club and has served the club in various capacities since the 2018/2019 session.
