At SeedPodds Kindergarten, the safety and well-being of our children are always our top priority. To ensure our team is ready for anything, we recently completed a comprehensive CPR & Choking First Aid Training session! 🚑🩹

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to Ms. Vinci Lai (Vinci Mama) for accepting our invitation. As an ICU Registered Nurse and a mother herself, she made complex life-saving techniques so easy for our team to understand and apply.

💡 What our teachers practiced:
Theory: Understanding exactly what happens during a child emergency.

Hands-on Practice: Real-life simulations of Child CPR and how to quickly clear a choking obstruction. ✋🍏

It was a meaningful and "compact" session, just the essential skills that matter when every second counts.

这周，
我们带着孩子们走进了开斋节（Hari Raya Aidilfitri）的节日体验，
共同探索马来同胞的传统文化。

孩子们排排坐一起，
聆听着老师讲述斋戒月（Ramadan）关于感恩与自律的习俗，
学会珍惜桌上的每一粒米，也学会关怀身边有需要的人。

最动人的瞬间，莫过于孩子们聚在一起练习 “Salam”的礼仪。
那小小指尖的轻触与贴额，
传递的是马来西亚最美的谦逊与尊重。
老师们以身示范Salam，
教导孩子 “Maaf Zahir dan Batin” 不只是一句话，
更是一份诚挚的原谅与和解。

我们始终相信，
理解，是送给孩子最好的成长礼物。

当孩子们在欢声笑语中拥抱不同的族群文化，
他们学会的不止是知识，
更是一份包容世界的广阔心胸。

愿这份和谐的美好，伴随每一个 SeedPodds 的孩子茁壮成长。

【2027年入学年龄调整：家长为何感到困惑？】

近期有关我国小学入学年龄调整的讨论，引起不少家长的疑问与担忧。事实上，许多混淆可能源自于不同国家在统计学生入学年龄方式上的差异。

在马来西亚，我们常说一年级是“7岁入学”，但实际上，大多数学生是在6岁多时进入一年级。例如：
👉 大约 6岁2个月至6岁11个月 之间入学。

之所以称为“7岁”，是因为这一批学生在同一个日历年内会满7岁，这是所谓的cohort age（年龄群体），而不是学生当时的实际年龄。

当与一些国家进行比较时，如果只看“数字上的年龄”，容易产生误解。例如：

📊 现有小学入学实际年龄（大致情况）
🇲🇾 马来西亚：约 6岁1个月 – 7岁
🇦🇺 澳大利亚：约 6岁2个月 – 7岁
🇫🇮 芬兰：约 7岁

从这个角度来看，马来西亚其实与一些国家差距并不大。

然而，若在2027年实施新的入学政策后，情况可能变成：

📊 调整后的入学年龄（可能情况）
🇲🇾 马来西亚：约 5岁1个月 – 6岁
🇦🇺 澳大利亚：约 6岁2个月 – 7岁
🇫🇮 芬兰：约 7岁

教育研究普遍指出，影响孩子学习表现的关键因素，并不只是年龄本身，更重要的是：

* 儿童的认知发展准备度
* 情绪与社交成熟度
* 学前教育经验
* 班级人数规模
* 教师素质与教学环境
* 学生之间的相对年龄差异（Relative Age Effect）

此外，2027年若出现所谓的 “双重入学群体”（double cohort），即5岁多与6岁多的学生同时进入学校体系，也将对教育资源、课堂管理及学生适应能力带来新的挑战。

因此，在讨论教育政策时，除了入学年龄，“孩子是否准备好上学（school readiness）”，或许才是更关键的议题。

教育关乎孩子的成长，也关乎国家未来。希望各界能够在充分讨论与研究的基础上，找到最适合孩子发展的方向。

在这个暖意渐浓的岁末，
我们SeedPodds Kindergarten 迎来了一位特别的老师——大圣人文基金会文教部经理李老师。
她暂时放下了办公室的繁杂，
化身孩子们身边的“大厨老师”，
带大家开启一场热气腾腾的新年民俗课 - 包饺子。

饺子形如“元宝”，寓意财源广进；
而“饺子”与“交子”同音，
代表着新旧交替、岁岁平安。

从备料，和面、擀皮到调馅，
李大厨手把手教孩子们把心愿包进每一个褶皱里。
虽然饺子形状各异，
但每一颗都承载着孩子们亲手劳动的自豪感。

这一颗颗亲手包裹的饺子，
就像一颗颗中华文化的种子，
悄悄落在了孩子们的心田里。🌱

在这个春天，
孩子们不仅学会了包饺子，
更在视觉、嗅觉、味觉交织的体验里，
学习了传承与爱。❤️”
