Women Driving Innovation: Empowering the Future of Work was held on 31 May 2025 at the Rooftop Terrace, Graduate Centre, Sunway University, in collaboration with Sunway Business School. The event saw a full house, with a majority of women from diverse backgroundsโ€”including students, alumni, professionals, and the publicโ€”gathering to celebrate women leading change in technical and vocational fields. Featured speakers included Ms Linda Tan Kim Lian, Director of Facilitiaya Wellness Services; Ms Norasikin Hassan, General Manager of Allison Elevator Sdn Bhd; and Dr Uma Ramasamy, Managing Director of Anantam. The session was moderated by Dr Geetha Nadarajan, Senior Lecturer at Sunway Business School.

The speakers shared insights from their journeys in male-dominated industries, highlighting resilience, leadership, and the power of inclusive workplace cultures. The forum aimed to inspire attendees to embrace innovation, lead with confidence, and help shape the future of work.

๐ŸŒŸ WAI Malaysia was honoured to attend the Women and Girls in Science Forum hosted by the British High Commission Kuala Lumpur, held on 9 April 2025 at Sheraton Imperial KL.

Themed โ€œPower, Progress, Possibility,โ€ the forum featured powerful conversations around inclusivity, intersectionality, and unlocking opportunities for women and girls in STEM. From policy-makers to researchers and tech leaders, the event spotlighted the diverse voices shaping the future of science and innovation.

The evening concluded with a dome-style dinner โ€” where guests dined in an elegant setting with shared platters, promoting community, culture, and connection.
