Elf (2003), an iconic Christmas movie starring Will Ferrell has captivated many hearts with its message of love in the family during Christmas.

Students were exposed to the culture of Christmas in New York City as Buddy (the main character) goes around in intrigue of understanding the citizens of this metropolitan and reminding them of the meaning of the "Christmas spirit".

A timeless classic by Mary Shelley is now on Netflix! Directed by the renowned Guillermo Del Toro, students were encouraged to watch it for themselves as they learn about the origins of this masterpiece and wrestle with the difficult questions of the consequences of playing god.

Michael’s journey from a young prodigy to an international icon reflects the American spirit of perseverance, creativity, and reinvention. By understanding his artistry and impact, we gain a deeper insight into the values of individuality, ambition, and diversity that define the American experience.

Paddington Bear, created by Michael Bond in 1958, is a beloved character known for his polite, kind-hearted nature and his trademark red hat and blue duffle coat. Originally from "Darkest Peru," Paddington arrives in London at Paddington Station, where he is adopted by the Brown family. Though his innocent misunderstandings often lead to amusing situations, Paddington’s optimism and kindness shine through, teaching important lessons about compassion and curiosity. Over the years, Paddington has become a timeless symbol of adventure and friendship, adored by generations of readers and viewers.

Janice (Jing Xuan) came a long way with us here at Ang Moh and we're elated to congratulate her for entering the S Club! A girl who is filled with life while interacting with her classmates, she can be a tad timid when it's her turn to speak up during class. Nonetheless, she's industrious in her studies and is eager to express her thoughts and opinions - a blessing to have you here in class!

Edward (Guo Hao) definitely made his impression to be a student who is eager to master the English language to the best of his ability. We end the year with the heart-warming and touching tale of Guillermo's Pinocchio. Dealing with themes of unconditional love of a father to a son, obedience, and manipulative individuals in this world - students (and teachers!) had a fruitful time unpacking the richness of the characters and their growth throughout the movie.

After 3 years of diligence, kudos to you, Cheng Xuan, for being a part of Ang Moh's S Club! While quiet in class, he's an astute observer and a keen learner of the English language. We're excited to see the man you'll grow to be in communicating in English with others confidently!
