𝗟𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀, 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.
One of our favourite things to see in class is that moment when the children become completely absorbed in what they are doing.
Some are matching.
Some are arranging.
Some are observing carefully.
Some are trying again and again until they figure it out.
To them, it feels like 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆.
But while they play, they are also learning to 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀, 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸, 𝗼𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲, 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲, 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺𝘀 and 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.
This is what we love about 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴.
Instead of simply telling children the answer, we give them opportunities to explore with their hands, think with their minds and discover things for themselves.
And sometimes, they become so focused that they forget everything happening around them.
Learning doesn’t always have to mean sitting quietly with a worksheet.
