I have always been an ordinary educator with no special background, and certainly no connection to any royal family. Yet yesterday became one of the most extraordinary and unforgettable moments of my life — a moment filled with honour, gratitude, and profound humility.

Through the heartfelt recommendation and trust of Dato’ Dr Denming Ho, I was granted a remarkable privilege: the royal consent of Tengku Jaril Sulaiman of the Negeri Sembilan Royal Family, to be officially accepted as His Highness’s adopted daughter, and to receive the title of YBhg Puteri 🎖️.

This honour is far more than a title. It is a symbol of trust, a responsibility, and a reminder for me to continue serving the education field with integrity, passion, and purpose. My deepest appreciation goes to Tengkul Jaril Sulaiman for this gracious recognition, and to Dato’ Dr Denming, my respected brother and business partner, for opening this meaningful door in my life.

Moving forward, I will remain grounded, grateful, and committed to giving my best to the community — carrying this honour not as a privilege, but as a mission to uplift and contribute wherever I can.

During a recent trip abroad, I unexpectedly met a former student I once taught at Kolej Dika.

She has stayed in early childhood education since the day she graduated — more than 10 years of giving.

Her love for children is still there, but her eyes told another story —
a quiet tiredness, like someone who no longer sees the road ahead.

That moment made my heart soften.
Not because she didn’t try,
but because no one ever taught her how to plan a life for herself.

We dedicate our lives to shaping children’s futures,
but rarely are we guided to shape our own.

I don’t claim to have “made it,”
but I do know the life I have today is not accidental —
it came from planning, reflecting, and choosing my path with intention.
