選拔賽將選出8位正選及若干備選隊員（需面試）代表柔佛州！

Johor Weiqi (Go) Team Selection 2026

The Johor Weiqi Sport Association is pleased to announce the Johor Weiqi (Go) Team Selection Tournament, taking place on 11 January 2026 at LeWeiqi Academy.

This prestigious event serves as the official pathway for nominating athletes to the Johor Weiqi (Go) Team 2026.

Tournament Details:
Date: 11 January 2026 (Sunday)
Time: 12:30 - 16:30
Venue: LeWeiqi Academy, 33-02, Jalan Pendekar 9, Taman Ungku Tun Aminah,
81300 Skudai, Johor

Registration Fee: RM80
-Covers tournament activity fees
-Lunch is not included

Categories:
A - Primary School Standard
B - Secondary School
C - Open Category

Eligibility:
Malaysian participants from Johor only; each participant must register for the corresponding state team based on either their residential address or the state of their current school (choose one).

Registration Deadline: 4 January 2026

Awards & Recognition:
A. The top 8 players will be nominated for the Johor Weiqi (Go) State Team 2026. The nomination does not constitute automatic admission as a state team athlete; all nominees are required to undergo an official state team interview, and the final selection will be determined based on the interview outcome.
B. The top 3 players in each category will receive a trophy.
C. Players ranked 4th to 8th will receive a medal.
D. All participants will receive a certificate of participation.
