Congratulations to Dr. Nora Yusma Mohamed Yusoff on her Official Membership in Climate Strategies (The Hague, UK & Netherlands)

The Institute of Energy Policy and Research (IEPRe), Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) proudly congratulates Dr. Nora Yusma Mohamed Yusoff, Director of IEPRe, on her formal acceptance as a Member of Climate Strategies, following approval by its Board and Secretariat on 14 January 2026

Climate Strategies is a globally respected network that brings together leading research organisations and policy professionals committed to advancing evidence-based, high-impact climate policy worldwide. This recognition reflects Dr. Nora’s international credibility, policy leadership, and significant contributions to energy transition, climate policy, and sustainable development.

Dr. Nora’s membership strengthens IEPRe’s role in global climate and energy policy discourse, and reinforces Malaysia’s presence in international climate strategy platforms. Her continued work in shaping renewable energy markets, energy system resilience, and net-zero pathways across Malaysia and ASEAN exemplifies the Institute’s mission to support credible, impactful, and forward-looking energy policy research.

Establishment IEPRe- Energy Modelling & Simulation Lab ( EMSL) 2026| Towards Strengthening Malaysia’s Energy Transition Capacity

In line with UNITEN’s role as a national energy university, IEPRe is moving towards the establishment of the Energy Modelling & Simulation Lab (EMSL) - envisioned as a national and regional training hub supporting Malaysia’s energy transition journey.

The lab will focus on integrated energy system and economic modelling, policy-ready simulations, and capacity building for policymakers, regulators, industry, and researchers, ensuring decisions are grounded in evidence, system reliability, and long-term sustainability.

Targeted for launch in 2026,

~Built to serve Malaysia and the region.
