Assalamualaikum and Greetings to all! Welcome to Youth Energy Ideathon 2022!

A collaboration between the Students Representative Council, 3ESC and IEEE club of UNITEN, Youth Energy Ideathon 2022 (YEI) is a pitching competition, where teams of 5 will discuss solutions to a problem provided in the form of a presentation. A case study will be released demonstrating a problem for which a solution is to be provided and to be discussed with respective advisors.

Among the program objectives are to promote Renewable Energy Mission among higher education institute students, to encourage youth to learn more about the current crisis in the scope of energy and to equip the participants with the skills of problem-solving and critical thinking.

The Youth Energy Ideathon 2022 will commence on the 19th September 2022 until the 12th November 2022. We look forward to your amazing ideas and solutions!

Each team is allowed 5 participants, and 1 lecturer to act as an advisor. Only 1 representative from each team is required to fill in the registration form from the link. All the details requested in the form must be provided, including a formal photo/headshot.

Once the registration form is submitted, a link will be provided to a Telegram group, where updates will be shared. Each team representative will be then allowed to add their team members into the group, and any inquiries can be made there. Once registration is completed and the case study has been released, the competition will begin.

First off, we IEEE UNITEN student branch club would like to warmly welcome back our UNITEN students for our short semester program. We hope you have had a good break and are back looking sharp in UNITEN for this short sem.

While you were away, we IEEE UNITEN club have come up with a lot of fun and resourceful activities that we can enjoy together throughout this year.

To kick start it off, this June 2022, we are organizing a Power System MATLAB Simulation Workshop which will be held virtually on Ms Teams and will be leaded by our senior lecturer Dr. Aidil Azwin bin Zainul Abidin.
