The collaborative research project, entitled “Spectral Analysis and Mathematical Modeling of Graph Energy for Antibacterial Compounds Based on Terpenoid Derivatives,” has been awarded funding under the Universitas Mataram Fundamental Research Grant, with a grant amount of IDR 143,480,000 for the project period from 14 April 2026 to 13 April 2027.

Congratulations to Dr. Ahmad Qushairi Bin Mohamad (Department of Mathematical Sciences) for securing the Kurita Water and Environment Foundation (KWEF) Grant with an amount received of ¥400,000.

His project, entitled “Machine Learning Analysis of the Mathematically Modelled Response of Microplastics in Seawater Flow Around Submarine Structures,” reflects a strong commitment towards advancing data-driven environmental research, mathematical modelling, and innovative machine learning solutions for addressing marine pollution challenges.

Sekalung tahniah buat lima orang mahasiswa Jabatan Sains Matematik yang telah berjaya mengharumkan nama jabatan dan universiti dengan meraih anugerah dalam International Youth Math Challenge (IYMC) 2025. Lebih membanggakan, salah seorang mahasiswa, Ting Yu Jing, telah berjaya meraih Tempat Ketiga National Award (Malaysia) serta dianugerahkan Silver Honour, sekali gus membuktikan kecemerlangan mahasiswa Jabatan Sains Matematik di peringkat antarabangsa.

Semoga kejayaan ini menjadi inspirasi kepada seluruh warga Jabatan Sains Matematik dan menjadi pemangkin kepada lebih ramai mahasiswa untuk menyertai pertandingan akademik di peringkat kebangsaan dan antarabangsa.
