π’ BBTxFIS: Get to Know Biotechnology π’
QIU Biotech Club had the privilege of hosting and organizing a fun set of activities with the Foundation in Science (FIS) students to introduce the fun and applicable knowledge of biotechnology.
The activity was kicked off by our program coordinator, Ts. Dr. Kamariah Hasan, when she shared an exciting news about our newly improved and approved BSc in Biotechnology course with broader electives and a shorter duration.
Additionally, we covered genetically-modified organisms (GMOs), karyotyping, color blindness, and DNA fingerprinting in engaging activities that broke the stereotype of classroom learning. It was a lot of fun watching the students from different backgrounds and interests get involved in this session. We also got to witness our committee members being the youthful lecturers from whom the students enjoy learning. It was a great day indeed.
Thank you for the fun and participation you guys! We'll see you in the next round.
